I thought the 7700 was a 65w chip? 7700x is the one that shoots for 95 celsius? I don't remember. I can't keep up with all of it anymore.

those temps are very VERY impressive for prime95... wow. I actually have never had a system that got those low of temps in prime95 on any cpu. heh
TDP is not their maximum wattage, it's closer to an average.

Finally got my nice new very white tower cooler, does an absolutely superb job of cooling the 95C rated 7700 chip, fitted it with thermal grizzly's kryonaut TIM, at least according to p95 blend for couple hours.

Very sharp cooler choice. I see your 16C core temps though  regardless, great results

At stock any Zen 3 and later CPU throttles extremely hard in P95 small FFT to stay within PPT, because the core heavy FFT lengths draw so much current, making it a much less stressful thermal test than most other benchmarks and tests. You can see the ~4.8GHz clocks, pretty big difference from the 5.1-5.3GHz all core it should sustain in lighter all-core. Combined with the low ambient temp it's reasonable.

No, that's not the info from AMD for all these 7000 SKU's. 95C is it for all of them regardless of wattage - that's the testing AMD did with this series for 24/7 operation.
They are challenging to cool because of extra thick IHS, that's there for compatibility with AM4 coolers.

Heat density and a chunky IHS certainly dont help.

I wish they offered a black edition like the old days, with a non-soldered IHS you can use your own paste on

Not really a purchase, but a friend of mine is clearing his 3D printer stuff and he's got something like ~10 or so and he gifted me one. I've got no experience with 3D printing, but it's a good chance to get into it. From my 10 min. inspection I figured it needed a regular PC power cable and an USB cable. I had both, so I switched it on, both PSU started, kinda loudish for my taste. Display lit up. When connected to USB windows says "USB-serial" in devices. On the PCB is stamped: http://3dymy.com/plus2 , fast google search tells me company went bust long time ago. Board seems to be RampsPlus 2.0 arduino based on Marlin distribution. I think I will open a separate thread for my Alice adventures in 3d land :D

It's a cable extension kit around £30 I believe, or corsair do the sleeved kits around £80. I've got the same PSU as well.

I also do this with the IO cables.

A couple of small purchases to add to my desk, for my own comfort and usage....a wrist rest for use when I'm typing, and a wrist rest + mouse pad combo (for those long gaming sessions). The Ducky wrist rest I'd been using is kinda hard on my wrist, these soft silicon type jell type rests are easier on my old wrists.

If its a VA Panel, check out the thread i made about the custom colour profile/driver for it - I run two 4K 60Hz displays here and a few 14440P at higher refresh and they definitely made a huge difference
(VA panels suck at particular shades of colours, the driver basically shifts them brighter - making them slightly more vibrant, and definitely faster performing)

I cant help collecting second hand high spec devices like that, when it's easy to improve them (and the owners sell them so CHEAP, one guy went from 4K60 VA to 1080p 240hz TN. I don't get it.)

That mouse pad is hilariously small
It's not the size of the clicker, it's how fast ya can flick 'er

Picked up a contact frame, some new fittings and a finishing bit. I'm thinking I might run a parallel loop this time.
Where I am at so far. It's getting late and need to further leak test....

It depends on the user. I got a 40x40cm wide mouse pad but the actual area of the pad that I use when gaming is like 18x14.

Mouse Asus TUF Gaming M4/Logitech G603 WL
Keyboard Topre Type Heaven/Keychron K2
Software Win11 Pro/Win11 Pro
That mouse pad is hilariously small
I was actually surprised that it's big enough to suit my needs, my G703 is sensitive enough that I can cover the entire length of my screen 3840x1080 screen without issue. Played a few games like SS Siberian Mayhem, DSR, UT3, etc without issue.

I gave my daughter & her husband a PS4Pro a few years ago and they have been "borrowing" a pair of games they love. Told them to kept them and enjoy. Had to replace them though.
