Benchmark Scores bench...mark? i do leave mark on bench sometime, to remember which one is the most comfortable. :o
Nothing beats good old cable connections, imo. :)
well ... out of all the BT earbuds i had, i can count the one that had connection drops on one hand,
on headphones well ... the latest i bought is golden ... it sounds as good with aptX-HD as it does wired (the Edifier Stax Spirit S3 ) and unlike the previous, 229$, Pioneer SE-MS7BT-S i had they do not lower the frequencies in wireless mod (20hz-40khz in both mode versus 9-22khz wireless 9-40khz wired )

tested the beans ... well, nice beans, good enough sound (even tho they support only AAC and SSC, aka: Samsung Scalable Codec) unlike what some reviewer mentioned and well, the ANC is horrible (not that i care ... even done well, as i mentioned once, ANC is horrible to me ...  )

Issue with the Buds Live is that their passive isolation is atrocious, so its ANC can make no miracle.
Buds Pro, Buds 2 and Buds 2 Pro, on the other hand, have amazing ANC (with real good audio to boot). They do irritate the skin of many people, though...

canceled the 7900 xt order. i read 7900 series has issues with older games like starcraft 2 - something about the vram auto downclocking or something.

so i have no idea what i will do now, i guess i will stick with this gtx 1070 for now... considering a 4070 ti or 4080, really don't want to pay that kind of premium, so most likely just going to play really old games with the gtx 1070 + 5800x3d / enjoy my steam deck.

eh. this next gen offering is such shit from both companies.

bought some Anker bluetooth 5.3 earbuds yesterday, not bad for 27 bucks. sound decent to me.

But why not at least give it a try and gain some firsthand experience? I can't think of any major retailers or etailers that don't have a lax return policy.

From all recent driver release notes and newer bench data it doesn't look like anything has fundamentally changed with RDNA3, but there are some suggestions that FRTC/Chill might have a part to play in the VRAM behavior.

You are right, of course, none of the prices are appealing.

to add to @tabascosauz 's good advice, use some of that great american resource (credit) and get a 7900XT and a 4070Ti and have your own Thunderdome. Keep the one you like the best, or return both if they suck.

I just picked up a B-stock 1660 Super for $125 since I needed a backup card (RIP 5770 Hawk).

Super tempted to sell my 3060 Ti now as the market seems rife with disappointment in its successor.
Then wait for a 4K/144Hz panel w/ adaptive sync to go on sale, followed by a 7900XT.

I got $110 in BestBuy bucks, $130 in Amazon and a dream...America!

lol its no worries. i will get it figured out. i don't need to use credit, i have a savings account, but i have a savings account because I have restraint, unlike my peers who always seem to be broke. but they spend all their money gambling or at the pub and I spend 0 in those places.

i will wait for a sale, i am in no rush, i can enjoy steam deck for now.

if i want passive isolation i get a pair of over ear cans (the Stax Spirit S3 has no ANC ) ... and as i said ANC is always a pain to me ... it give me headache almost to the point of vomiting ... thus no ANC like the Stax Spirit S3 or ANC like the buds live : fine i do not use it anyway

at 50-60% volume, i barely hear anything from the outside, i have to activate "ambient" ...for when i use them when i am on my bike ...
the audio is good (mostly bass department but. hey! i am, indeed, a basshead) and they are comfortable to me, that's all i ask ;)

all in all, very satsfied (of both ;) )

do as i did and get a 6700 XT ... she's been awesome for me @1620p and a huge upgrade over my GTX 1070 (and i use a R5 3600 ... but i do intend to get a R7 5800X3D :D )

I second this. RDNA 2 is probably the most stable, most reliable series of AMD cards since the good old GCN days.

If they spend money gambling, then they're doing it wrong. Like with anything else, one should do research and then spend money, not the other way around.

My peers spend their money on expensive phones that they only use for Facebook, and expensive cars that they only use to go to work doing overtime to pay off the instalments. I'll never understand this mentality.

To stay on topic: I bought an Ablink USB-C 3.2 cable to use with my nvme enclosure, but it doesn't work! I can't even return it because Amazon has wrong card details stored for refunds, and I don't want Amazon credit as I don't trust their shitty cables anymore. That's 12 quid down the toilet! I suggest everyone to stay away from this abomination of a brand (Ablink). :banghead:

I am having a hard time not buying a 5800X3D. It keeps dropping down around the $300 mark. I am going to hold out a little longer with my 5800X, and see if it drops to $275 soon. I have a feeling it will.
I'm done with waiting. ~€400 gone.

one of my etailer has it for 291~chf ... close to pull the trigger on it

well ... tech related, but not a purchase ... since it has 0.0chf annual fee (compared to 50chf annual fee for the value pay Mastercard i had ... which was a prepaid ... practical but can't use it for hotel reservations or anything else aside paying online/contacless in shop ) i got myself a Visa, i put a max limit of 1000chf so i will not go overboard ... (and i get a 30chf voucher since it's a partenered card with my local supermarket)

291chf is lower than 1000... right... (and i could pay it tiered a 50chf or more a month ...)

the bummer is ... i asked for the Mastercard version (my contract show it too ) and i got the Visa ... bah same same (although iirc Visa is a tad more advantageous than Mastercard ) and they got my name wrong ... even tho they scanned my ID card

You got a link for these enclosures? I am a Orico fan have one of their docking stations and 2x3.5" enclosures they always work when you plug them in and do a awesome job even transfer speeds are amazing.

I confirm the colored side is aluminuium (JMicron) 38°c after benchs, cache enabled in device-manager (PS: by this USB-Hub on Deskmini too) PSII: then i did also 1Tb benchs by USB-A native (no-HUB) and direct USB-C with RAMPow adapter, afterall :

A friend asked me to clean and sell his old gaming rig with a 7700K in it. After a little search, I found an MSi B250M Mortar with an i5 7500 on ebay for 60 quid, so I'm gonna keep the board and my friend's 7700K, and sell his PC with the 7500 instead. The board is a little bent in one corner (see picture below), but it was listed as fully working, which I hope is true. I'm not sure what I'm gonna do with it, yet - I'm thinking about downgrading my HTPC and selling the 11700 + B560M combo that I currently have. Or maybe I'll keep it as a backup in case something fails, we'll see. One thing is for sure: having an Intel 7700K and an AMD 7700X in my arsenal is so cool! :D

After the mishap with the shitty Amazon USB-C cable, I decided to drown my frustration in finally building the nostalgia rig I thought I'd use the 7700K for... only to find out that the motherboard is DOA. This isn't my day, it seems. :(

Go for branded cables. OWC is good.

I bought the chair I have now (CXO Nightingale) about a year ago used from an office supply store.
It was $500 and I regret nothing, best one I've ever owned.

I am having a hard time not buying a 5800X3D. It keeps dropping down around the $300 mark. I am going to hold out a little longer with my 5800X, and see if it drops to $275 soon. I have a feeling it will.

if i want passive isolation i get a pair of over ear cans (the Stax Spirit S3 has no ANC ) ... and as i said ANC is always a pain to me ... it give me headache almost to the point of vomiting ... thus no ANC like the Stax Spirit S3 or ANC like the buds live : fine i do not use it anyway

at 50-60% volume, i barely hear anything from the outside, i have to activate "ambient" ...for when i use them when i am on my bike ...
the audio is good (mostly bass department but. hey! i am, indeed, a basshead) and they are comfortable to me, that's all i ask ;)

all in all, very satsfied (of both ;) )

do as i did and get a 6700 XT ... she's been awesome for me @1620p and a huge upgrade over my GTX 1070 (and i use a R5 3600 ... but i do intend to get a R7 5800X3D :D )

well i just got a part time job for the summer, it will only take me a couple weeks to make 1600 bucks. so i will just get a 4090 soon. :D

my dad told me his work can get me on part time and they pay well. should take me 2 and half weeks of not even working full time and I can just go pay for a 4090 in cash without having to touch my savings. that's my plan at the moment. maybe i will just do a 4080 since a 4090 will throttle my 5800x3d. lol

i want 165 fps at 1440p high (not max) settings in cyberpunk 2077. my guess is a 4080 + 5800x3d will take me where I want to go. but prob need a 4090 if i want ray tracing set to ultra, but i hear even a 4090 crumbles under the new psycho ray tracing mode in that game, so i don't know, maybe i will just say fuck ray tracing and leave it off and turn settings from high to max with ray tracing off.

but yeah i start this new part time job next week, just talked with my dad about it. im not buying the card until i earn the money from this job though, not dipping into my savings for nvidia, fuck nvidia, but they still getting my money in two weeks or three since amd don't got their shit together. 6 months and still haven't fixed the idle power draw, is utter bs.

Just use DLDSR and you will be fine and have an insanely sharp image.

Just for reference DLSS Quality and Framegen at 1440p ultra RT.

A Roccat Vulcan 121 AIMO mechanical keyboard. It was on sale, ~100EUR cheaper than its original price.

I'll post a pic or two in monday when I'll go home and grab it from the post office. Got already a SMS that it was arrived.
I hope its better then the 120 version, i just ditched it becorse it kept writing double letters. i bought the K100 corsair instead, 90$ cheaper then the original price.
