for me maybe im gonna upgrade my rig to intel but waiting for socket 1150
Waiting for affordable sb-e parts to replace my 1st gen i7 system. Also waiting for daddy kepler to come out and make 680s hit the used market. Could be a good year if I find the funds!
And of course, I'm going to keep crunching, and help find a cure for cancer!
I will get a GTX 660 and I might Raid 0 with another SSD. Also my PSU is old - i might upgrade to a Corsair one.
Get out of debt
I'll try to save my money to upgrade my computer one by one. Hopefully. And a new earphone!! Arghhhh
To buy everything awesome that comes out.
MOAR hard drives!
You can never have enough storage.
haswell and never buy another AMD system again
The same as it was in 2012, 2011, 2010, etc...
Spend too much time on the internet and spend way too much money on buying computer upgrades I do not really need
I'll probably just grab a new graphics card when the AMD 8xxx series or NV 7xx series come out.
I may pick up a 3770k if i find a good deal on one, but i doubt it, too many other things to buy this year.
Oh, and new 120mm case and radiator fans, a few of mine sound a little unhealthy atm.
Waiting for a gtx 550ti to come.
Happy New Year TPU !!!
Building my Haf-XB i7 machine and gonna overclock/ crunch the heck out of it!!!
- Upgrade my HD6850 with something new (and waiting for a full system upgrade my q6600 still rules)
- Upgrade the whole system (Haswell or something from my old love AMD?)
- Change work with something more satisfying
Happy 2013 TPU!
My future plan for 2013 is to upgrade to the socket 2011. Still using the i7 920.
From a tech point of view not much. If there's some money I'm thinking of a haswell i3 for the second rig, maybe a GTX770. As it stands right now 2013 doesn't look so good from a financial point of view for me so I just got myself a Nexus 7 until there was still some money left in the bank.
Continue crunching with more cores and more threads than last year
A career change
continue to spend money on my rigs and try to learn electric guitar!
+1: Gonna continue paying off my student loans and will be for a few more years.
From a non tech point: Reach the end of 2013 knowing how to speak/read Japanese with some ease.
From a tech point: Well, I bought this rig just a few days before 2013 (couldn't be any happier with it), but I hope to get more goodies throughout the year if funds allow me so!
Happy 2013 to everyone, hope you guys had a nice 2012 and have a better 2013!
buy a 27" 1440p monitor and sometime later upgrade to 89xx/78x...
When did you start? Because I don't think you'll do that if you start now unless you work really hard and is a language savant.
I started a few months ago and I have ease in learning new languages. I listen alot to Japanese music and try to make out the words while listening. So regarding accent that'll help quite a bit too.
I already know how to read hiragana without problems, katakana, I still have trouble, since I didn't dedicate too much time into it yet and I know a handful of Kanji.
But by speaking or understanding I don't mean fluently of course as that would be impossible, but enough for more than just basic talk. Of course, having someone else to talk to or practice would be golden, but I'll have to manage by myself.
Might be setting the bar a bit too high, but if I can work it out nicely, I might undertake JLPT in the future.
