Im not sure whether this is the best section for this thread, please move it if it isn't.

I have seen some havok engine demos on youtube and was wondering where to find demos to download and run on my pc so i can see it for myself. AFAIK havok is supposed to run on ATI cards. If anyone knows where i can download such a demo please post a link.

Havok is done on the CPU not the GPU since it's owned by intel. Your supposition about it being on ATI cards aint gonna come true any time soon.
I'd seriously suggest playing painkiller or something like that since they're based on havok (albeit an ageing version now).
List of games running havok:

You can get the painkiller demo off steam as well.

ATi announced Havok for their GPU's last week, it was on the front page. As for Havok demos, I don't know. A very popular game engine that uses Havok is the Source engine(TF2, HL2, CSS, Portal).

Wow, I must have missed that...
I was sure intel owned havok though, they'll basically be shooting themselves in the foot tipping market share in the GPU market towards AMD.
Is source running the most up to date version of the havok engine?

I don't think Valve is going to update to this even tho they are huge havok supporters. Nvidia has recently started partnering with them, I don't think they would allow it.

Any idea what WILL be getting it then?
I'm sure that last time I checked it still had the ATI thing on the graphics options on TF2, although that was after my last reinstall so early january.

As I have heard, Havok is supposed to be superior to physx. If this is the case wont developers adopt havok and ditch physx. Already more games use havok than physx right ?

If havok reigns over physx, ATI cards would sell better aswell

More games have havon than physx I think yeah, number may be getting more even now though since NVIDIA's been pushing support for it for a while now. AMD had better milk this cash cow for all it's worth!
