Where to place a thermal sensor on the mobo?

I would like to monitor my mobo temps, no program i have is able to give me that, i use Everest ultimate and Coretemp. System BIOS doesnt give me that either. I have a TT A2349 fan controller wity 4 thermal probes, i have them placed around the case to monitor CPU, GPU, PSU and RAM temps. I would like to move the RAM thermal sensor on to the mobo since its basically giving me the same temps as the CPU, but i'd like to know where to place it. Also, is it safe to put it there, the fan control manual doesnt mention anything about placing the probe on the mobo, only the components that i have the probes on now.

Well, I'd put mine near the chipset...

Id probably put it under the NB block/heatsink/fan. Dont put it in the way of the contact of the base and the nb chip, but around it should be sufficient. NB I think, next to the VREGS is the hottest spot on the mobo. Of course, some more experienced veterans can probably help you out a little better.
