Benchmark Scores A LOT
november benchmarks from pcgh are out,and for me they're the best summary of how a given card will perform on average.

2080 super is 26% faster than 5700xt
2070 super is 11% faster

with 3440x1440 in mind and given oc headroom,2080 super is gonna be 30% faster thqan 5700xt across the board, and more crucially,it's 30% that you need.sorry, but 5700xt can't do 3440x1440 justice

You know what is funny men, some folks can always argue that XXX GPU is "within a neck distance" from XXX GPU while actual data shows they are vastly apart.

Anyway OP is happy for now with good old Vega56. So issue is closed~

Pretty much this. I also don't expect any gpus before June 2020 and I don't expect wide availability until August or September 2020.

Happy is not the full story. Happy was when I had 1080p. I immediately outgrew the GPU when I switched monitors.

yup.
you may get away with 2070 super but barely imo.3440x1440 is hell of a resolution to run smoothly.

It may as well be 4k as far as shitty console ports go.

that's the price for having 3440x1440,your choices are pretty much limited to 2080 super if you want higher quality settings and smooth framerate

If you hate RGB it's definitely not the card for you though.
I don't see the RGB on the MSI RTX 2060 with a non-windowed side panel. I did try turning it off but it doesn't stick without the service running in the background. I prefer having less programs installed than required.

Yep. I bought the monitor for non gaming purposes. It has since become a bigger pain than I bargained for.

It's hard to believe that people are still pushing Crossfire or SLI with such little support from Developers and AMD and Nvidia.

I have about 186 games and only a few didn't like sli most do great when setting to 4k. Sli is a huge improvement at higher graphic's setting.

Remind me, when it that supposed to land?

OP LOVES amd gpu, he has made that point clear to me a long time ago. Which is why I am helping him from making a huge mistake. He would be happier with an AMD GPU.

Up to 6000 rpm yes but they are loud running that speed so made a custom speed increase depending on temps.

it's fine as long as they're not cherry picking.
5700xt is supposedly as fast as 2070s.
take rdr2 and they're neck to neck.
take all game tests that came out on tpu after 5700xt and we're back to 2070s being 11% faster with some games leading by 20%.
good advice is always welcome, but seriously, the dude who keeps recommending 5700xt for 3440x1440 needs to go outside and take some fresh air.

you know what is good advice for someone looking for a 3440x1440 gpu ? take one that's a sweet spot for 1440p and add +30%.

I agree, really the 2080 ti is the best fit for that resolution but given most people will never stomach paying that much for a GPU the 2080 S is the next best thing. Waiting for Rumors to pan out on future GPUs isn't my favorite hobby.

Hey, when your darling doesn't compete in the league you need it to, you start being "creative" instead. ;)

Honestly I wish AMD had a 2080 ti competitor the market needs it regardless of if it cost $899‐999... Choice is always better than having one option past a certain performance bracket.

Evga 2080 Super Black is $689. With that price (which is still stupidly priced) I wouldn't consider any other option for 2080's.
