Reviews shut come in Sunday next week or 7 juli as NDA ends there for Ryzen 3000 series. Still very impatient about Ryzen 9 3950X true performance and overclock capability on air/water. Not at least as AMD is binning the chiplets for 3950X for the best performance possible.

Also i exspect Ryzen 9 3950X to be easy´er to cool down on air cooling thanks to its 7 NM over Intels 14 NM 16 cores cpu, also Intels 14 NM is know to run hot and when overclock consume a huge amount of power. That will also be a win i hope as i am not a fan of having water inside my pc, so i will stick to air cooling.

I already have 2700x on Asus prime x470 pro so 3700x would be too close and 3900x not necessary so only logical one would be 3800x and to switch to it would cost me about 100 Euro. Over 200 Euro to switch to 3900x I can't justify bit if I was to build new system than I would go for 3900x.

Conclusion: Tables have turned upside up. Gaming performance is tied and productivity is vastly superior for less money. What else any sensible person building or upgrading a PC could want? And allowing old and low-cost motherboards to work with Zen2 cpus is the epitome to the vfm of this cpu line-up.

I wish you long and happy life, you gonna need it if you are waiting for Intel to innovate. If anybody has hyped out it's Intel !!!
"Intel inside" = keep away from it.

TR is going to be real interesting. If like the lowest end TR could end up being AMD's highest end gaming chip if they do things correctly. Meanwhile the chips above that might not necessarily offer more in terms of gaming uplift, but offer more in productivity w/o taking anything away from the former or only marginally reductions from it in like the 100-200MHz range peak performance to like 1-4 cores. Trade offs with heat and power obviously need to be made at times and sometimes it's defiantly worth a small reduction to peak single thread performance for a broader up tick to overall productivity and sometimes the opposite is true as well there is a balance. I'm confident AMD is fully aware of that and will aim for what's overall optimal. From what I saw of the new upcoming TR chipset's it's really interesting.

I replaced my Ryzen 5 2600 (OC'd to 4 Ghz) with a Ryzen 7 3700x about 3 weeks ago and I am extremely happy with it's performance.

I'm happy enough with my 9900k for now, but I voted for the big chip like usual!
