i'm looking to buy a 80mm to put on the back of expansion slots to pull the air out from there . WHat is the best 80mm fan ? is the vantec tornado ? how loud is it ?

also looking at Antec Pro 80mm case fan with 34 CFM , will that be enuf .

currently have a intel socket 478 heatsink fan put on there, doing a good job by reducing the temp of gpu and HDD by 4C , but makes a high pitched nosie .

Check out the Rexus and Delta fans.

TRY to find a 80mm x38 and if you do let me know please as a 38mm one would not need to spin as fast as a 25mm one if it's made correctly.

Fingers in ears.. i was thinking you would not need it full speed though. I have tried same kinda thing but inside the case just about fitted in there worked well too. But had to move it as i ran out of cutters for my dremel so could not put a bracket for my ZALMAN MFC2.
So just added 3 small fans from a Dominator cooler works too. Would of prefured the 80mm fan but shi i could do about it and had to get the comp all back together. SB dropped 5+c

70db is probably like a powerful vacuum cleaner.

As long as there are no metal components touching the capacitors it should be fine. I don't think you have to worry about the capacitors overheating either. Just make sure the blades spin without touching anything.
