So im getting ready to upgrade my case and im down to two options. The phanteks enthoo pro and the nzxt source 530. I plan on doing a custom watercooling loop in the near future and would like to know which one you guys think is the better option?

Enthoo Pro. Seriously awesome. I just got one and it beats my old Corsair 540 (the 540 was $90 more expensive too) easily - the build quality, materials and just the 'niceness' are amazing. It's really quiet for a fairly high-performance cooling case too (although I did stick noise dampening foam in it). Enthoo Pro also comes with a reservoir bracket too.

I'm not up to speed on all the cases these days, but my rule of thumb is that if your GPUs do not rear exhaust, then a standard format tower is not good enough. In those scenarios, you should use an open/flat setup like a benchmark rig.

A normal standard tower layout is fine. However if we were talking 4 way r9 290xs then I'd agree...to an extent.

My top gtx 970 went up about 3 degrees changing to an enthoo pro from a corsair 540. However there is also one less expansion slot width between them because i also changed motherboards which no doubt contributed also. The bottom 970 actually runs cooler than in the 540 (~4c cooler).

Not straight away but i do plan on adding the gpu to the loop later on. I understand that id have to drain the loop and re route tuning.
