GM107 , the one listed with GDDR5 is better it also has more cores.

Do keep in mind either of these GPUs are kind of weak.

"It MAY BE A Pointless question in your case "

Is this a choice of replacement MMX Graphics card for your Laptop ???
If So you may be Stuck with replacing the Existing one with same one unless your laptop has Bios to Accept the Other Card
Laptops that use MMX Graphics Cards often have a white list of Approved Graphics Cards
while both Cards fit the Same "Slot" one or the other may not be Reconised and Drivers may not load

Please fill out your Spec's :) to help People help you

I am planning to buy budget laptop. So I guess that's what I will get.
I was confused because gddr5 has less gpu clock but high memory clock and ddr3 had good gpu clock. Is that significant.

DDR3 is really bad on modern cards.

Neither of them are "better" unfortunately....

They are good for Solitaire, Minesweeper, GTA SA and the first Far Cry perhaps.....

It'll work.

I don't think you are able to really enjoy it with that card due to the low fps...
Minimum spec on Steam for GTA V says a HD4870 which seems to have a bit more power than these cards the OP mentioned (according to the Passmark site)..

Benchmark Scores Faster than yours... I'd bet on it. :)
GTA likes CPU too.. and I'd imagine that laptop, if it comes with a lowly 940, doesn't have a great CPU either. Im sure you can play it, but the experience may not be great.

CPU isn't terrible, but pretty low clocked...

Again, it will work, but, may not do so even on medium... what resolution is the monitor? 1080p?

These graphics chips are made for accelerating high definition video. Counter strike is about all you're going to get and still have a good experience.
