Which of those two monitors?

So yeah, I'm ordering a new monitor, I got my eyes set up on these two.

I could care less for the webcam on the Asus, it's just cheaper and has free shipping than the model without it. I also heard Asus' monitors have a lot of case of Dead Pixels, hence why I am hesitating.
I got a budget of 300$ CDN. In the end the Asus is about 20$ more than the BenQ, shipping and taxes included. What do you guys think I should go for?

Personally I'd go for the Asus. I've seen a number of them in action and the look fantastic. My dad has a 19" 1680x1050 one of theirs, and it's brilliant. No dead pixels what so ever.

Never seen any BenQ monitors so can't really comment on them.

ASUS yes. I have one it is amazing.

I agree... I've only seen ASUS too. They are very good... As for BenQ, I have no idea how they look.

Have you checked Best Buy, Futureshop and Costco for their monitor prices? usually they are pretty cheap ;)

I swear I looked on Bestbuy.ca and found nothing under 300. I ALWAYS fail at searching on their website.

I'm gonna go take a look in a few retail stores tonight in case I find something good that I wouldn't have to pay for shipping and be afraid of dead/stuck pixels

Yep I'm going for that Samsung 2333 @ best buy over the Asus on newegg.ca, it's on sale and I'm glad I don't have to order and be stressed with it being DOA, having dead pixels, etc.

Prices in Canada are usually bad, but in the monitor department they are getting better
