Which PCI-E power cable should I use?

My X1800GTO came with a PCI-E to 4 pin molex power connector, my new Antec smart power 2.0 has a PCI-E cable on it. Now should I use the stock PCI to Molex, or should I use what comes off the power supply?

I am not sure, but I think I killed my X1800XL by using a store bought adapter that used two molex adapters, I could be wrong about that though. If anyone has had any experience with this, please let me know.

should make no difference .. i suggest you use the one from the psu since it's probably on its own rail and reduces the cable mess

Thanks Wizzard. I used the PS cable and it works fine. As an added bonus, it fixed my lockups when I overclock above 550. I am running 600/600 at 1.175V 2.0V now.

I think since the molex used one power pin in order to power two pins on the card, it was causing stablity issues.

I shouldn't think it really matters what u use, although i would think you get a better more clean supply straight from the psu. When i had my X800gto2 i used to use the 4-pin to pci power adapter, then i bought a new psu that had the pci express power supply and used that instead. I did find that when i changed and was using straight from psu it helped my overclock ever so slightly.
I now have a X1800gto, using the same psu, using the pci express power cable stright from the supply and have had no problems whatsoever. (although now i am upgrading psu due to not enough amps on the 12v when overclocking heavily)
