Which Protocols can be disabled?

I'm wondering which Protocols can I disable on my Network Adapter. I just want to know which one's are needed to go online?

Quick Update: I disabled all of them except tcp/ip v4 and v6, and my Network utilization on Task manager stays between 70 and 75%, it used to dip into the 50% range alot. Thanks Wizzard.

I wouldn't disable any of them.

Why in the first place you want to disable them? By Default you shouldnt touch it..

you need only tcpip v4. client for microsoft networks and file and printer sharing if you want to use network shares. none of those pose a security risk nor use cpu unless actually in use. you may save a few kilobytes of memory by uninstalling them

I have 512k DSL which is pretty damn slow , I'm pretty sure some of these protocols can be disabled. Which in theory should create less overhead.

So I can go with just TCPIP v4, for browsing online/gaming?
