I don't think any of them are particularly bad, just some are louder than others.

The Evga XC ultra or Msi Gaming Trio would be my pick for a good balance.

For 2070 supers I like the Trio as well but even the $499 usd gigabyte 3 fan variant seems to have good temps for the price going by reviews.

The EVGA RTX 2080 Super XC ultra is $760 -$30
Yeah I know, but spending an extra 100-150 for 6-7% going from a 2070s to a 2080 makes less sense than spending $70-100 for an extra 6% going to a 2080S. There's nothing wrong with buying any three of these cards and if the 2080 is the best card your buddy can fit in his budget buy it for sure.

Hasn't that only affected 2080 Tis? I don't see many people reporting on this anymore.

I've had my MSI 2080 Gaming X Trio since launch and I haven't had any problems, but that's a sample size of 1.

My Wife has a ASUS Dual RTX2070 and it is working grate and have since RTX launch

For the OP Question i have an Asus Strix 1080TI and it is working grate soo i would go Asus but i'm leaning towards EVGA Because they just look to be an awesome brand :)
Just ordered a MSI Ventus 2060 Super for my son, but I have had my issues with MSI Motherboards so i would never buy a MSI motherboard but the graphics cards should be good

Me and 2 buddies all have strix oc 2080 ti 10,6,3 months old mine being the newest with zero issues on the memory. 1 with micron 2 with Samsung chips. I also have a buddies with a 2060 super (micron) and 2080 super (samsung) since they launched with no issues so far on the memory or otherwise.

I know this was an issues at launch but you'd think if it was still common at least one of us would have issues.

What does this mean?? Are you talking about the issues that were NOT pinned down to memory (as it happend with both hynix and samsung) that was blown out of proportion late 2018?

The dust has settled several months ago. Those parroting there are issues today are misinformed souls.

Anyway, to the op directly, read a few reviews and see for yourself. While it's nice to get public opinion, one person's quiet is too loud for someone else. Or one person's runs hot is quite in spec. It's best to check out some reviews and go from there. You really cant go wrong with any of the major card partners.. the difference in performance is nill. Its cooling and noise for all intents and purposes.

Stay away from video cards with relatively thin fins, they do not cool well. Other than that, it should make little difference unless you want the best cooling while remaining quiet, which is a different topic.

what else did you really expect of him to contribute in this thread ? could've warned him of 5700xt's being bug ridden to he point of being unusable, but decided to warn him of memory failures on initial rtx 2080Ti batches.

and yeah,2080 is poinless now there's 2070 super.
