So where is it going then? You are going to end up with quite a bit of older GPUs and "secondary" computers that way. If you bring them to recyclers, then it's not goign to end up in bing, it's going to end up burned or here:
Or equivalent of there. And while 4 years seems like quite a bit of time, it's just two gens and improvement s from each gen got smaller and smaller at same price, also cheap cards are now overpowered for modest goals (RTX 3050 is way above meeting 1080 Ultra 60 fps target and does 1440p high 60 fps comfortably), meanwhile expensive cards are really weak at their goals (1440p ultra with RT, usually end up running at less than 120 fps on RTX 3090 or 4k ultra + rt, ends up not reaching 60 fps without DLSS with RTX 3090). So even if you had GTX 1080 Ti and played at 1440p with 60 fps goal, it still wouldn't be a great time or even a time to upgrade. You most likely could skip RTX 4xxx gen, the nskip RTX 5xxx gen while lowering game settigns and only then upgrading. Your 3080 Ti will last longer than that.
