Alright, so I've decided to upgrade to either the 8800gtx or the 8800ultra, for the extra boost in shader processors and MEMORY!. :) But now I'm debating which one to get..? Any ideas or suggestions? I definately want EVGA so brand is not an issue here. lol. Is the 8800ultra worth the extra $100 or so over the gtx?

mmmm, I'm not quite sure about that but a couple of commrades uses the GTX version and don't have any problems running today games, even the demanding ones. The GTX version is one of the most powerful of the market, so, I think paying $100 extras to achieve the Ultra version don't worth it......

Get the ultra if you don't plan on SLI'ing. If you do then the GTX.

Why? You could just get the Ultra, have insane performance for a long time and when it starts to slow down, SLI your Ultra.

lol. what ram issue? I have only have 320mb, and WIC says I'm overloading VRAM by as much as 70MB, and also, the extra video memory would benefit my resolution... 1680x1050.. I'm just deadlocked on getting the gtx or ultra, like i said, is the ultra worth the $100+ more than the GTX?

89w tdp vs 125w tdp, the 6400 is a better chip, faster clocks on lower watts on the same die process, and it has the 16 mult which allows you to run at stock with your ddr2 800 also at stock., there's plenty of bennies to the 6400. the only problem is that it's not out yet.

TBH I would keep your GTS. Some BIOS volt modding and the sucker is ready to fly, being able to compete and hold its own with the likes of the GTX and ultra. Of course, if you havent already remember to take the HSF off, use some AS Ceramique, and if it needs it lap the HSF base to a nice smooth un-pitted finish

there not much difference between the 6000+ and 6400+ not noticeable difference any ways you mite get 200 more points in 3DMark 06 but at the end of the day its only 200Mhz faster each core and AMD only released it because intels E6850 and the sad thing is it still dosn't beet it go the Ultra
