Ok, so I finished Duke Nukem Forever the other day and now I'm up for playing one of the many other Steam games I've bought and never played.

I've got loads, but here's just 15 (more if you include the sequels) from my list.

I voted Metro 2033 only because it's the only game I've played on that list :laugh:

Far Cry as well, but that's old...still a good game though.
I've heard many good things about Mass Effect 1 & 2, Just Cause 2, and also Fallout & New Vegas.

I just saw that first little trailer for Sanctum and I am wondering why the hell in the middle of all the gameplay is there a disco kitty zoomed in and out starting at 0:42. I just laughed my ass off for a second there :laugh:

edit: But I do agree with you, it does look a little different than what we're used to seeing.

Garry's Mod will have you tripping balls for about 5 hours straight now that they implemented the Toybox. Before you had to go though websites to get maps and addons, now they're right there at your fingertips in-game.

Just Cause 2 is a must have. Think GTA, but with a grappling hook. I mean you can attach a bad guy to a plane taking off, but who would do that... Oh and there's the parachute. Oh and theres the HUGE map, a southeastern island, but with beaches and snowy mountains. Oh and the explosions look superb. Oh and you can hijack helicopters in flight. Oh and... and then... and this...

If you and anyone else has installed or played Duke Nukem Forever (including the demo), make sure that AMD Dual Core Optimizer is REMOVED from your system (unless you are running a dual core Socket 939 Athlon). I was wondering why my laptop was running Team Fortress 2 like ass for the last month, and remembered I installed the stupid demo to get an achievement for the Steam Summer Sale. DNF autoinstalls it on EVERY system (even Intel) and it will screw with your system.

Anyway, as far as the topic is concerned, Fallout 3 and New Vegas should be a nice way to spend your time, especially with DLC if you choose to buy it. I had a friend get so obsessed with New Vegas that he literally spent a good few months doing everything possible in that game (an that was before any DLC came out). The engine and graphics are a bit dated, but the games are still fun if you like that style of gameplay.

JC2 for sure. It's fair repetive but if you like messing people up in multiaple ways and blowing shit up all the time it's fun and can be for some time. I like getting on cars and attaching the grapling hook to bridges and the car i am on and dragging people on some one else s car lol.

Just a after thought ME is alright the 2nd one i thought was not as good but still fun to play. I like Far Cry 2 as well but so many hated that game but i enjoyed it because it made me think of GR a lot in some ways but 1/2 done so to speak.

Lots of good choices, but grouping them made me pass on a few. Like Red Faction 1 was amazing, the 2nd and 3rd I wasn't a big fan of. Or Just Cause 1 and 2, I would suggest 2, not really 1. Or even Mass Effect and Fallout, but yet the CoD titles are split

Just off that I would say you might already have your mind made up a bit.

I must admit, Fallout 3 was one of the greatest games I've ever played and I'm currently ploughing through New Vegas which is great but doesn't feel as great as Fallout 3 - definitely worth playing with HD mods.

However, Metro 2033 wouldn't be as long winded and is so incredibly atmospheric it still gets my vote.
