    ouch......

I just looked up the lan boy air and I think it's neat. Not something I would own, but neat nonetheless.

To 'channel' the dust in and out before It can settle I guess..

I dont know if youre familiar with the Lan boy air pc case - Its just some mesh bolted together on the corners to make a PC case. Works better as a benching platform then an actual PC case but some people actually like it....

He's got tons of cash to burn, I assume he's very young... Better computers than cocain or whatever India's classier people are on I think.

AMD no processor to match with 3770K simply because it's weak in single treat and because PSU see him more as some dual graphic card because power consumption than processor. It's absolutely bad saving money on something like AMD Processors if after 2 years you are one 3930K in minus for power bill instead to go with 3770K.
With AMD Processors I never know when something will work better on Intel. If you install one GK110 as primary card and one GF110 for PhysX than I don't know how AMD can behave in that situation. You always need to search and expect weaker results than on Intel i7.

It is HONESTLY like the blind leading the blind in this thread....

You talk about 3770k's, FX8350's, Xeon E3 1230 then Pentium 4? I though the objective of this thread was to help find you the best CPU that can match a 3770k or around the same performance as a 3770k if not a 3770k itself.

Where does the P4 come into all this? You've not just skipped generations but you've also skipped sockets.

If youre going to post then at least post something thats cohesive so people know what the objective of the thread is, something that makes sense so people can advise and best help you reach that goal instead of either not bothering to read your post or taking forever trying to formulate an understanding of what it is you want because you keep jumping from one thing to another.

I know English isnt your first language and I understand that but at least make an effort to structure your threads a little better otherwise its just a bunch of gobbledegook that does not compute and people wont bother reading.

Your spelling isnt as important, Spelling we can forgive.

    ---------

So what is this P4 all about?

With comments like this, you shouldn't bother. Cases are subjective.

Kaveri APU has just bean released. Prices are high ATM, needs a few weeks to settle.

If power consumption is an issue drop down to a dual core APU that runs at a lower frequency. HTPCs don't need all that processing power, you're just playing movies and doing a bit of multimedia.

or drop down to a i3 4130 - energy efficiency is totally off the charts and it will run rings around a A-10 6800k except for when it comes to iGPU. though the i3 isnt overclockable so that might be an issue - eitherway none of them match or come anywhere close to a 3770k in performance.

He's going to run VMs so this is actually a workload where an FX (or rather an Opteron) would make more sense than an Intel quad core.

    I had a 1100T and a Bulldozer. I wouldn't even consider the trade for my 3770K.
