After EK announced thier naked Ivy Bridge W/C solution: http://www.ekwb.com/shop/ek-supremacy-precisemount-add-on-naked-ivy.html , I looked at my Koolance block and think it's quite do-able. I just have to verify the threads on the screw posts go down far enough.
Based on my de-lid experience, the lid is about 3-4mm thick, so that's the amount the waterblock would need to drop if I take the lid and the top of the cpu retainer off.
Looking for pointers if anyone here has done it.
