You are really show allot of ignorance here and if you infact considered me a friend you would have toned down your rhetoric a long time ago you can make a point without being insulting as I have done several times, you, however, have not. Flame baiting is prohibited on this forum as far as I know so grow up and stop it.. we can agree to disagree but be agreeable

I don't know if you keep deleting and reposting or what, but here goes:

Please give some evidence of him being considered a "conservative Democrat." Please give a list of the amount of bills he passed that differ from the wishes of his own party.

You can't just say these things without giving a little bit of evidence.

If the man's so different from the bloody Republicans, he shoulda ran as an Independent, because it just looks bad to be "palling around" with that ilk.

I thought we were agreeing to discuss and disagree as adults...I see no "flame baiting" here, but a healthy back and forth of heated political discussion!

Oh, quit your bellyaching. I haven't spouted any "rhetoric." See the difference?

Rhetoric: Bush eats babies and John McCain wipes his chin afterwards.

Fact: Bush is great friends with the King of Saudi Arabia, a country that spawns huge amounts of terrorists, and John McCain is a member of George Bush's political party.

And personally, you claiming to be a "police officer who's department was on the cover of Life magazine" without any evidence, and then using this to claim that you "know more than I do" is personally insulting to me.

Police officers have been known to shoot themselves commonly in the foot. Since you're an officer and all, you should've heard this joke before -- it's hardly insulting.

You could be unemployed and stamp envelopes for a living (this was not an insult -- people actually do this to get by -- or are you more insulted by being thought of as potentially "poor"?)

And me asking you if you want to be friends is not an insult.

Wow -- you haven't seen the video of the DEA agent shooting himself in the leg/foot in front of the classroom? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_91jcFTbLE8

I thought everyone had by now -- it's famous. :twitch:

You're right -- DEA agents don't arrest people, carry guns, or file paperwork.

Wait a sec -- yeah they can!

As far as I can see, we're still talking about the election/politics. Just because someone says they're being insulted doesn't mean they actually are.

However, if you want to start passing out infractions, start with me and trt740 there. As long as you're even-handed about it, I'm cool with it. :D

then a soilder is a Police Officer because they also do the things you listed? and do DEA agents report auto accidents, domestic violence reports , go to bank hold ups, go to shootings, make traffic stops, wear uniforms, write speeding tickets etc... there is a giant difference in the two. Having said that back to the topic at hand.

Wrong. You are not talking about politics. You are insulting another member by insulting his profession. There is no discussion over my moderating here, nor will there be any more insults towards others or more infractions will occur.

Well, then -- I'll just say this to everyone, generally:

On the internet, don't state what your profession is. There's no way to prove it, and thus it doesn't matter, and for all anyone knows you're not telling the truth.

several people on this forum know me personally and are aware I am a retired police officer. Okay this thread has been jacked long enought. I'm not going to follow this line of talk anymore thanks all. On that note good day.

Actually, I can see how the Tim McVeigh comment might, on the surface, make sense. But once you look deeper at the core issues there is no comparison.

Ayers was an extreme activist no doubt, but their actions were not intended to kill people, only make political statements. He served his time. He's now a distinguished professor.

McVeigh, who also took extreme actions against the government, is a mass murderer and always intended to cause as much harm as he could. He's now dead by execution.

On the other hand, the David Dukes comment doesn't have any logic whatsoever.

And both of them are no better than Sun Myung Moon (a Korean preacher who thinks he's Christ and who's surmons George HW Bush regular attends) or that witch doctor or whatever that blessed Sarah Palin.

The fact that religion is so intertwined with politics these days is enough to make anyone sad. :(

Edit: Okay, that should be "has attended," not regularly. :p Didn't realize ol' Myung had passed on the seat of his church to his son.
