why does 64bit crysis not work?

running it in vista sp2 compatibility mode fixed this exact problem for me. however im running it on dx9 win 7 7600

Is there any real reason to trust the Crysis bench mark program?
Has it been updated for newer O/S patches, Dx, .Net, hardware, software and especially drivers?

I'm sure you've tried this already, but have you disabled DEP?
