Why does it do this?

if i click on the alert for the law and warranties thread, it always fills the reply box in at the bottom with reply quote that is shown in it. If i want to post a comment on the thread, i have to delete this every time.

Yep, you start replying, change your mind or get dragged away, whenever you go back to that particular thread it will be there...…………………. unless of course you press Ctrl+shift+delete to clear the cache (Internet Explorer), most other browsers have similar I think.

Don't thank me, having just checked it only works "sometimes", strange, it must be saving to the TPU server and not just your browser cache. For example a quote I did has gone now, but sometimes when I came back it re-appeared :kookoo:

Yes I'm not a huge fan of this 'feature'.

Its not very logical to go away from the page you're writing a comment for and come back to finish it. I doubt anyone does that. If this is an intentional feature, it should be reviewed/removed. I don't think this is browser cache.

I use it all the time when I accidentally hit my mouses awkwardly sensitive "back" button. Not really a very common use case I am sure, but one nontheless.

happens after a certain amount of time with something in the post box. When the issue happens, across the top of replies are icons. The floppy disk to the right end is where you can go to save and delete drafts of posts that pop up on you,

there should be a check box option for it, select to save it in that thread, deselect to delete it.
