Why does NVIDIA no 24 progressive in graphics card
The movies look awful aiming NVIDIA driver at 24 FPS The films are not sharp, the picture sometimes shakes too much
The colors are unnatural! Check with OPPO/ Panasonic Blue Ray and you will see a difference $ 1500 for a video card and there is no 24 progressive ?

I can set my card to 24 progressive, and it's an NVIDIA. Your display needs to support it. The card can't do it if the display can't.

This isn't the OP's first foray into video/decode and colour bits. @R-T-B, you've been here before. I'm not convinved this is a legit post, so I'll keep an eye on it.

I must forget things quickly. Am I growing old?

EDIT: Oh yeah, this is the plasma guy. To be fair this is about refresh rates not color bits. It threw me.

I have a 24Hz ready OLED now, so I can easily prove my point, but... we'll see how far the truth gets us today.

what to you and the truth ? ( did you also invent the truth? )
I wrote that there is no problem for 24 Progressives in Blue Ray Panasonic or OPPO
this means there is screen support !

Nor did you check that there is no support at all for NVIDIA 24 Progressive graphics cards
NVIDIA does not endorse or support 24 Progressive in graphics cards

24fps it's not 24 Progressive
two different things

Your TV supports "judder free" 24hz. It does not support native 24hz. Source:

Section: Supported Resolutions. Note 24hz is not listed.

24fps it's not 24 Progressive
Unless you are talking interlacing, they are the same thing. A progressive 24 scan is simply a 24FPS standard non-interlaced frame speed.

did you also invent the truth?
No, of course not. The truth is independent of either of our opinions.

I wrote that there is no problem for 24 Progressives in Blue Ray Panasonic or OPPO
That is interesting. I can only guess they ignore the TVs EDID, send it anyway, and the TV uses the "judder free" processing stuff to fix the signal somehow. In that case, you could try adding the resolution manually with Custom Resolution Tool (link below):

I'd try adding it under "Detailed Resolutions" first, and use "native" timings. I can't promise your TV will accept it though.

You will also need to set your monitor to 24hz in windows settings before viewing 24 Progressive content. That may be... awkward for standard usage, but will look great on 24fps media.

While using the PC on a TV set works fine, but why are you using TV for viewing instead of a regular computer monitor?

Maybe he is using it as an htpc and thus the tv instead of monitor. I actually do all my movie streaming (both locally and thru the internet) with an Nvidia card in an htpc.

That makes sense. Let's see what OP has to say about it. Do you have the same sort of problem OP has?

Nope. Heck, I’m not even clear what his concern is. :p And by that I mean I’m not seeing an issue here.

It's really a limited use case home theater content type concern. I'm sure he can solve it to his satisfaction following the steps I provided. He just seems a tad confused about the technologies involved.
