Is there any law against selling intangible goods online? or is there such a website?
Define "intangible goods".
well you can't sell your soul i tried they get mad
ideas, inventions, or even songs?
most of those things are sold direct for higher dollar amounts than a site like ebay would normally see.
is it legal tho?
You'd be a fool to buy such things (songs, inventions etc) if they weren't first trademarked, copyrighted or patented.
I think a no is the answer.
i.e. You buy an idea from someone, that idea must exist physically as you have seen it and bought it. You then try and trademark it and sell it on, first guy comes back and proves it was his idea and sues you.....
The only way to see with ebay is to try it.
I remember hearing a few years ago that someone wanted to sell their soul on ebay, but ebay didn't know whether to allow him to or not. They allowed him, but said "that's the only one, no more."
Bloody hell, it was in 2002. How time flies.
souls aren't worth what they used to be. shoot used to be at least a golden fiddle or if you're faust it got you intellect money, fame, and a personal demon.
Wanna buy a soul?
Here's some things you can't sell to give you an idea.
You, obviously, have not been searching hard enough. See this. If you had found it in time, it could had been yours.
To answer your question, it is legal to sell ideas / songs / your own manuscripts etc.
It might not be within eBay's ToC, but its not illegal.
The burden of ensuring you aren't getting cheated would be on you, though.
I remember reading about some girl selling her virginity on ebay. I don't think that went over too well...
Legal... don't really know. If there is no fraud... Might not be illegal.
Would I buy something intangible... really doubt it.
Here you go... How about an Authentic Human Soul.
All this talk of sous reminds me of an old Babylon 5 episode with the soul hunters
Ohh.. I will sell my soul.. if the offer is right.. lmao
how about selling copyrighted works like ideas and songs? (not so much patented since if people have money to patent something, they might as well be able to sell it...? lol or am i way off here? )
I thought it was called "Craigslist Personals Casual Encounters."
can someone shed me some lights on how copyrights of song can be transferred? thank you
Yeah, fun time. It technically is legal. You can sell anything that can be legal defined as goods or a service exchange for money on the Internet. It is all a matter of finding someone brave enough to buy it from you.
http://buymysoul.net/ Charity Group that barter's souls to help people....hopefully.
There was also a site on the Internet where you could buy, trade, and sell souls as a form of a weird game. It was like trading up through Craig's list, but done completely with your soul. You would trade people ideas, web site addresses, or whatever they wanted for control of their soul on the site. I don't remember the name though, just that I know someone who participates in it.

If you create your own song, I know their are avenues to sell and buy DRM free music through iTunes, Amazon, and 7digital.com.
P.S. The copyright to anything can be bought and sold. Hell the legal ownership of every Beatles song was famous bought by Michael Jackson in a public auction pissing off his close person friend John McCarthy. Mr. McCarthy has control of them now I think.
wait, do those site let people sell their original (copyrighted) music for big bucks?
as for copyright transferring, does the two ends have to meet up to do this? can the transferring work be done online?
Separate names with a comma.
