Why some unaccesible space is reserved in a storage?

No, the difference is that all u did was read from wikipedia is that there are different 2 ways of calculating, base 10 and base 2. You don't know why or how, but u know 10 is not the same as 2.

Xorbe actually understands the difference between base 10 and base 2, and why they are different, as do I, and he was kind enough to explain it OP. Something you would not be able to do.

I'll even recap: Drive manufacturer says 1GB = 1000MB; Windows says 1GB = 1024MB. There is your discrepancy.
