Wich Nvidia 1080 to buy!

So there was no vega launch. So I will skip the redteam now. So here is the 6 cards I have been looking at.

-8GB ZOTAC GeForce GTX 1080 AMP! Edition
-8GB Palit GeForce GTX 1080 Dual OC
-kfa2 geforce gtx 1080 ex oc
-8GB Inno3D GeForce GTX 1080 HerculeZ Twin X2
-8GB Gigabyte GeForce GTX 1080 Turbo OC 8G Aktiv
-8GB Gainward GeForce GTX 1080 Phoenix Golden Sample Aktiv
I'm new to the NVidia cards so help is needed.
All these cards are in the same price range.

id say save up get a ti , 1080 would be a bad buy in two months when its price drops so much, the ti isnt likely to drop in value so much and is Way more potent but if you dont need it go with the Amp imho.

I'd skip the Palit over suspect reliability issues. The other two are pretty much the same, so pick the one you like best.

The Gainward is the fastest of them. It has a boost of 1847mhz.

The difference isn't much pretty sure gpu boost will make them all run around same speeds

I wouldn't worry about that too much, as they will all push past 2Ghz without issue as mentioned.

It's just boils down to the cooling solution and length of warranty really, that Gainward does look good though, it's a division of Palit so the cooler is excellent and i like the fact it sticks with the reference 8pin + one extra 6pin as the cards don't need more juice than that.

EDIT: I'd get the cheapest one with a 2 x 8-Pin connection. The zodac has a good warranty and has 2 x 8-Pin connection.

That is a good choice too, but two 8pin connectors is overkill, but then so is 8+6. The FE makes do with one 8pin and is up there with the best overclockers W1z has tested!

Can't go too far wrong either way.

So I got my Zotac today

. But to get card to work was a pain, no picture on any cable. I had to boot with Intel graphics to get a picture and install the NVidia drivers to get the car working :banghead:

. But card now the works

,but I don't have higher resolutions like on my Amd card :shadedshu:

. Whell its easy if I would know where to enable that :toast:

in NVidia panel .

Just enable DSR resolutions in nvidia control panel.

I did use DSR but its is not working !
With th R9 390 I could choose any res in the games

Hmm.. Used to work for me as well when I was still gaming at 1080p, not sure but could it also depend on the game perhaps?

If you're on Windows 10 right click then personalize and set the resolution in Windows.... That what you have to do with the red team anyways.

With the R9 390 I didn't do no such things . In the amd control panel you check 1 box and that was it and all resolutions was there. If this card don't work that way then...... I start to hate it already.

Some issues with Palit I should know about, except for that model, which is the cheapest one? I got no complaints about my super jetstream one (9 months old).

And gainward is from the guys..
