Yes. Do you need one? Nobody knows since you're not saying anything about your situation and how you use your computer.

Almost every game thats been released in the last year or so does tho, and for the rest....well in most cases there are simple fixes.

I don't like my widescreen. I would rather have a normal one instead.

I went from a 17" to a 21.6" widescreen and I won't ever go back. I find it invaluable for webdesign/graphics as well as gaming.

hehe, right sorry about that.
I'm buying myself a (what i like to think as) high end system, and i've found a 2000:1 22" widescreen LCD screen vs. normal LCD screen, and im not sure which to get.
I've grown up with "normal" screens, but a friend of mine has a widescreen monitor, and ive got to say, everything looks a million times sexier on that screen.

I think ill go with the widescreen, but i was just curious as to whether people get sick of them, or if gaming experience isnt as good with them, because its alot of money to spend, so i am only going to be choosing one of them.

Go w/ Acer, I think they're the best for LCD's.

i prefer wide screen cause its better for watching movies can you get widescreen hd. and many new games support widescreen now. regular screens are more expensive lol. but its a matter of preferene, i would imagine that square screens are better in some fields then widescreen.

get a 30" 16:10 widescreen. it'll be expensive, but your e-penis will get longer.

mines only 19" wide but its contrast ratio is 5000:1 which is apparently very good.
