If the Wii U doesn't come with a derp-ray player, it doesn't really bother me TBH, but like the other ppl said, it would be a nice addon or touch to the system, I already have 2 blu-ray players :laugh:

One thing Im kinda disappointed in is there is no hard drive in the system, only 8GB flash memory :eek:

and Im a big digital freak when it comes to games and media :toast:

but that can be fixed also by buying an external HDD connected via USB, so I guess thats ok...

it says it comes with internal flash memory but doesn't specify how much

8GB is not enough. if I have the option to install a game onto the hard drive like the XBOX 360 I hope I won't have to insert the disc every time I want to play lol

the xbox 360 uses firmware level copyright enforcement, whilst blu-ray drives only do it at software level so its hard for a Xbox to play blu-rays without total redevelopment

I was just thinking to myself a quad IBM might not be that bad because think of how good the Quad Sandybridges are on the pc. They could make quiet a nice quad with a low power useage and heat output. I think it will really depend on what gpu they team one up with.

Sucks no Cube' compatibility like was rumoured but im not beat up about it.

it's rumored to have a custom AMD R770 "WOLF" clocked at 766mhz, so far nobody has really tried to debunk it mainly because it's underwhelming.

apparently they won't even be selling the Wii U controller in the store in case you break it

one Wii U controller per console and that's it. multiplayer requires Wii controllers.

I just hope its at least $600 or less and the hardware contains some secrete alien technology.

Probably cant do more than one Wii U controller because the console has to process the information on the screen for it. You have to be near the system for it to communicate.
I wonder if they will do DS ports on the Virtual Console since its essentially possible to do and play them using the Wii U controller since you can use it as a touch screen bottom and the tv as the top screen.

Reggie said that it doesn't have multi touch because its not a tablet, i can kinda understand that but adding in multi touch would have been nice it just seems crappy the touch screen they used.

You wanna know what they have in store for us? Simple just look at the Wii U, paint it black and slap a new logo on it. Its not like they will come up with anything innovative themselves.

Well they've got to top the Wii U and certainly top the PS3 and 360.

So it better have a 1000 Core CPU (Not literally) with DX11 or I'm not buying any next gen console.

funny, in the Gametrailers vid when asked about graphics he says "it can do 1080p so that box is checked". Screen resolution isn't the only thing that makes graphics great.

I think its funny that it has more gpu ram than system ram. I do like that it will allow you to use a USB HDD for extra storage, but its only 2.0 and not 3.0

when asked if it was as good as an xbox 360 or ps3 he kinda dodged the question by saying that's up to the devs. when asked why the wii didn't have as much content as the others he admited that it was due to "horsepower" but that it has it now (the wii u). that is (i think) close to that of a ps3/360 (more or less?) but if microsoft and sony announce new consoles as well then they'll be back where they started in terms of console hardware power.

I'm not to crazy about the fact that the "remote" has to be in constant communication with the console. would be nice if I could play VC games on it on the go. then again it probably just get's video streamed from the console via wifi of sorts, which would explain the need for all the graphics memory. (2 HD res screens)

overall I like it. esp if it will be only $250.
