Will an Xbox live code for Gears of War Ultimate work on the windows store?

Hey guys,

So I was in my local Wal-Mart and they where selling digital codes for Gears of War Ultimate for xbox one for 15 bucks, which is half of the cost game on the Windows 10 store and I almost bought it but I wanted to find out if it is redeemable for the PC version on the Win 10 store since I don't own an xbox one because the code is non refundable.

I googled it but I was unable to find a definate answer.

According to my googling Gow ultimate is a play anywhere title https://www.windowscentral.com/play-anywhere-list

But I don't think u can redeem the Xbox code on the PC app. I do know that when I bought a play anywhere title physically it had the code for PC inside

If a title is available for xbox and windows you get both copies on your account as a play anywhere title.

The other option is you could buy for Xbox ,streamed to play through PC if you actually have a console, Using whatever that windows 10/Xbox one streaming function is,as long as the title is supported

I get what your saying but it doesn't state that gears of war ultimate is a play anywhere title only gears of war 4 is.

I mean it would make sense though because it states gears of war ultimate is an Xbox live title in the Microsoft store.

I might just buy it off the store to be sure I would hate to waste money on something that might work.

Also I don't own an Xbox and I don't plan on buying one.

Just fyi for you, my 1 gig fiber down is downloading Gears of War 4 right now... at 300 MB/s.... say what you want about Windows 10 and Windows Store... Steam doesn't even come close to using these kinds of speeds with my 1 gig down speed...
