Will I need an PSU upgrade

it's reliable and a solid PSU just the RMx is a better PSU
Honestly , not gonna risk it and I will go for shift series or this ASRock PSU , they are both with flat ugly cables but at least the ASRock have white pin connectors. Wonder which one to choose

shift is the better unit

Okay I will go for it.Now I have opportunity to get the 9070XT as well but some specs of the 7900XT are better. I am on a crossroad here and I dont know what to do

it's not about specs it's about performance for what you you will use the hardware for. Check reviews against the games you play and plan to play at the settings you play at.

I would definitely go 9070XT over 7900XT FSR is vastly superior on it and AMD is likely to focus on it more driver wise it's also the better all around card imho.

Both cards will be too slow by the time more than 16GB matters at 1440p or lower.

They already suck at everything that needs more than 15 GB. If we don't count gaming with insane texture mods.

I personally would've picked a used 4070 Ti Super over either of just because FSR's never gonna catch up + RDNA4 is still inferior at UE5.

I barely can find any of the games that I play on any of these cards :l The only games I will maybe play in future are the GTA 6 and Battlefield 6. In any other AAA game that was tested with 9070XT and 7900XT - the 9070XT wins both in raw performance and RT performance - but I don't play any of them. I found some with ryzen 7950X3D and 9070Xt , but i am not nearly there to do some comparison. I found another video with ryzen 7 7700X and 7900XTX and the dude was having around 120FPS ( I am having 90 stable and up to 120 too with my 5800X3D and 7700XT with 40-50FPS drop to low1 and lows, can't do a comparisson since I have X3D CPU and he is not...As far as I know the X3D is giving big advantage in bad optimized games

for example here it is:
but he is having Ryzen 9 7950X3D with 9070XT , and what I noticed that when scoping in this game - 33% of the FPS drops , for example he is having 150 fps and when scopes the fps drops to 100, and still this is pretty decent fps for this game. Me with my 5800x3d and 7700 xt I have 120 fps at best , 90 fps average and 40-50fps drops . Both me and him are testing on a epic settings ,except he is playing the game with DX12 , and I am using DX11 for better performance, squad doesn't like DX12 at all as far as I know

here is another video:
this one is with 5700X and 7900XT where the performance of his benchmarks is actually the same as mine while I have 5800X3D and 7700XT vs 5700X and 7900XT

It's really hard to tell whether I will be better with 7900XT or 9070 in this particular game

RM850 not only uses eiltes on the primary but also cheaper caps on the secondary side as well as a cheaper fan. Won't handle spikes as well. All in all it's a fine PSU made with compromises on an older platform that has been replaced (there is an older RM version that comes with a gold "RM" label as opposed to the 2019 version in all black) . Also, you linked an asrock psu not the RM850.

not sure why flat are "bad looking" considering you probably won't see them but the non-shift RMx has individually sleeved cables
https://desktop.bg/desktop_power_su...URB3RzSm-gz8sB7OhiN69S0GdYuu2UCRoCbcwQAvD_BwE what about this one ? I can get it for 350BGN (175$) ,and it costs same as the RM850x shift 850W

It's not that complicated man.

Games don't really vary much between GPUs.

Just take the advice and make a decision.

I made my mind to go with 7900XT and this Lian Li PSU I mentioned above( Edge 1000 Gold)
