will my crosshair ii formula support a hot swappable harddrive?

It would work fine, you just connect the sata ports via sata cables from the bay to the motherboard connectors. I wouldn't recommend swapping the drives during operation at the risk of data loss.

yes.

Make sure the BIOS is set to AHCI or RAID mode, and that you install the latest drivers.

lol ya i em now but i use to not be a hdd lightweight every one just passed me up heehee but if i can dig up the bucks i would like to get another evga 285 card or a 295 card and sell the 285 i got.
