Close enough. The card uses PCIe V3.0 while the motherboard only supports V2.0. So the card does ever so slightly out-class the motherboard. But as seen here, any performance gains negligible and even the most significant improvement was only by 7%.

So you biggest concern should be if your power supply can support the card.

Dorset you mean nothing will max out the boards slot not the card? And Bill use the Edit button :) I don't think AMD makes a 3.0 lot
Zerunez: Fill out this for all your parts https://www.techpowerup.com/forums/account/specs

You board is a fine match for that GPU, there might be something else that will be an issue but probably not. But to be sure list all your parts

Huh? I don't need to edit anything.

And the question was about the board, not the processor and the board supports 2.0. So regardless, the card slightly out-classes the board, but really does not matter.

your board is fine. PCI E was designed to be a little more flexible with accessory boards.
