anyone have any idea if this stuff will work on my mobo? and beyond that, does anyone have any comments about it? I usually don't buy things at low prices, because the price is usually low for a good reason, but this seems like a good choice, assuming it works.

well, they're 2 1 gig sticks, I was looking at 2 2gig sticks... so they cost almost twice as much. four times when you consider that a 2 gig stick is usually double the cost of 2 1 gig sticks.

get some ddr2 800 with micron d9 chips (get crucial), d9's will easily get you 1066.

If you're looking into ddr800 crucial mems, keep in mind its the stepping of the D9 chips that really matter. They may or may not get you to 1066 @ 5-5-5-x timings.

But yeh if youre gonna go for ddr800, let it be crucial, at least you can be assured you'll get some sort of D9 IC and not those crappy ProMOS IC's.

I was actually looking to spend no more than $300 if possible. just need to get slightly better ram to oc cpu.

Timings are a bit slack but for the price, these things are the real deal!

Btw, I'm sure you can tune these down to 5-4-4-x, judging from other 4GB kits at the same price range.
