I tried googling this, but i got more confused than a clear answer, but i gotta ask 2 questions:

1: Will PBT doubleshot keycaps fit on my Corsair Gaming Strafe keyboard with MX Silent Red-switches? What do i need to look out for in order to see if the keycaps will fit my keyboard or not?

I ask this because i have a Corsair Gaming Strafe keybard (not the Mk2, but the regular one), and because here where i live (scandinavia, europe), we're lacking keyboards with both PBT ds keycaps combined with MX Silent Red-switches, and also because i don't really have the budget to spend about $200 on a new keyboard with both PBT-keycaps + MX Silent Red-switches. However, i'd definitely LOVE to have PBT-keycaps on a MX Silent Red keyboard because they are more durable, they feel more comfy on my fingers and they don't get dirtied/greased up that easily, compared to the current ABS-keycaps that my Corsair keyboard has. That glossy effect becomes visible relatively fast with ABS-keycaps, yes. And that comes from one who keeps my hand quite so clean. Ohh, and the price for a full set of PBT ds-keycaps will cost me about $20-30, so yeah, it's quite the difference in price for only the keycaps vs a whole new keyboard, naturally.

And yes, i am really THIS obsessed about having MX Silent Red-switches on my keyboard because they are quite easily the most quiet ones available over here (yes, i need the nordic layout on my keyboard), and i have owned a solid handful of keyboards, but so far, the Corsair Gaming Strafe is the best one i've had so far. It even beats the Xtrfy K4 with kaihl red-switches, which is nowhere near as quiet as my Corsair Strafe keyboard...

And my 2nd question: Is it worth getting a set of PBT ds-keycaps for my keyboard or should i invest in a completely new keyboard with both PBT ds-keycaps and MX Silent Red-switches? I ask this because i have now had the Corsair Strafe for about 2.5 years, so yeah, it's quite used.

So. Care to share me your thoughts on this peculiar matter?

so long as the key caps work for cherry switches you are fine (yes they work....)

as for new keyboard vs new key caps -- Idk. How bad do you wanna spend a sizable chunk of money? Could that money be better spent elsewhere? Do you really need to spend that money?

Corsair doesn't use OEM profiles though, but they do make their own PBT keycaps.

Ohh, interesting post. Thanks for that. Too bad they are sold out everywhere...

However, would something like these fit on my mentioned Corsair-keyboard:https://www.maxgaming.no/no/keycaps/pbt-keycap-109-set-seamless-double-shot-black

Or must i find keycaps that are non-OEM if im looking for keycaps that will fit onto my Corsair-keyboard?

Amazon Sweden has stock.
The bottom row of Corsair keyboards differ from the standard OEM layout, so most generic sets don't fit properly.

Ahh, thanks for the link! Will check it out now.

It looks like unless i buy the keycaps from Amazon, i'll have to buy a new keyboard... heh.

Still, thanks for clearing it up for me. :)

Also, crap... Forgot that Amazon Sweden doesn't ship to Norway, for some stupid reason.... :/ So yep, i am more or less forced buying a new keyboard, it seems.

Germany?

Ahh, that actually worked, but i noticed something else now... UK/US-layout on the keys, heh. But i guess that's not the worst compared to the price and all. :) I will definitely think through it before i land on a decision, yea. Thanks for the link!

Corsair sell their own PBT doubleshot keycap sets - the kit i have is english but includes some foreign keyboard keys, pound key and so on so it's likely a 'universal' set for their euro keyboards too.
Corsair keyboards have a different spacing on the bottom row, so either buy a genuine corsair kit, buy a kit advertised as corsair compatible, or buy any generic kit and dont use the bottom row.

MX reds with O-rings are absurdly quiet.

@TheLostSwede - do you have an input on this? Because Maxgaming.no is selling a lot of PBT keycaps, but im not sure which ones are compatible with my corsair-keyboard.... EDIT: Wouldn't a set of keycaps like these fit my Corsair-keyboard, perhaps? https://www.maxgaming.no/no/keycaps/pbt-keycaps-nordisk-utforming-cherry-profil

That set looks like it'd work, as it comes with the extra bottom row that appears to have the right keys. I can guarantee it though, so better check with the shop.
Keep in mind that the backlight won't work properly with those though.

Edit: It won't work, as the there are no 1.25 Alt keys, nor a 6.5 spacebar.

Oh crap... Then it looks like a whole new keyboard is the solution. OR that US/UK-layout Corsair-set from Amazon you linked to. THAT will surely work, i hope? This: https://www.amazon.de/Corsair-CH-9000235-WW-Double-Shot-Tastenkappen-UK-Layout/dp/B075QLZVB6/?

Thanks so much for taking time to help and advice me.

Why not something like these at half the cost? I know I am linking US, but I was pretty sure they intended to make various sets.

Well, if that would have fitted my Corsair Strafe-keyboard, then sure, that would have been easy. But sadly, i don't exactly have the "luxury" keyboard, apparently. It simply doesn't accept many keycaps, as you can read above. We've gone through a lot of different keycaps sets, but nope, it just doesn't seems like there is no keycaps set that will work with my Corsair Strafe-keyboard, except the Corsair PBT keycaps, naturally. :/

they dont fit the bottom row, i bought those keycaps and found out the hard way

Dont get me wrong it can look pretty sick without every key changed over, they just dont fit on all of them

Oh crap... Then it looks like a whole new keyboard is the solution. OR that US/UK-layout Corsair-set from Amazon you linked to. THAT will surely work, i hope? This: https://www.amazon.de/Corsair-CH-9000235-WW-Double-Shot-Tastenkappen-UK-Layout/dp/B075QLZVB6/?

Thanks so much for taking time to help and advice me.
Yes, that is for your keyboard among several Corsair models. I guess their view of international is British/German/French at most, the rest of us are forgotten...

I see. Such a shame that, yea. But upon reading your posts and the help i got in the other thread, i will definitely buy myself a new keyboard, but as you might know, there are not that many full-sized keyboards with MX Silent Red (or black) + PBT ds keycaps available here in them nordic countries. So, it looks like it will be either Ducky or Varmilo for me. The reason i need a full-sized one is because i am kind of dependant on numpad that is attached to the keyboard as i use it frequently... RGB isn't a must for me anyways.
