Will the new 8800GTS beat the 8800GT?

HI all
I heard that nVidia is doing a "refresh" of their 8800GTS cards using smaller die shrink 65nm. With the wierd naming they are using with these new cards, do u think the new GTS's will beath the new GT's?

I don't think so man..... 8800GT will kick 8800GTS ass... it also will have the same performance with 8800GTX if u OC it :rockout:

But if nvidia make a 65nm 8800GTS i sure it will be good in OC and less power usage.... and hope it will have the same performance with it's new brother 8800GT... We wait and see then... :rockout:

It looks like the GT will be the card to beat... After looking at what the vr-zone people wrote, the 8800 GT will be the thing to get. I know thats making me want to get an 8800 GT.

This is the only thing I know of as of system specs... I believe the new ati cards come out before Christmas, I want to say the end of next month...

They will either drop the 8800gts or update it to make it faster than the 8800gt, there is no way they will keep making a card that costs more than a card they make that is faster..

1) 8800GTS rev1

2) 8800GT

3) 8800GTS rev2

4) 8800GTX

5) 8800Ultra

And the rev1 8800gts prices will drop until they are gone.

Yes but i not the sure about it... Because 8800GT have 112SP, PCIe 2.0, DX10.1! and the new 8800GTS just upgrade to 65nm chip hope with PCIe 2.0 with 10.1... Just wait and see.... :rockout:

If there is an 8800gts coming out with the GT's 65nm core than yes it will be faster than the gt. It will be identical with the exception of 18mb more memory and 14 more shaders. The new GTS will more than likely blow the GTX away!

Only if the GTS is in SLI then yes . the GTS PNY anyway is very weak at OC'ing and hence not very good when alone and up against a better card .

lol.. Im stuck with my rev.1 1900gt and my new build is somewhat paused waiting for a 8800 series card, I'll make it

wish they would release this new gts with the gt.. guess its not rdy yet though.

yeah I heard before that its going to have more shaders too. Its going to be a better card costing between 300-450usd.
