So I have an Xbox 360 wireless controller and we want to play couch coop (Rayman, Trine, Lara Croft, etc.) and split screen games with two controllers on the same pc. Tinking about upgrading to the Xbox One controller with wireless adapter. Can anyone confirm that the wireless Xbox 360 and the wireless Xbox One controller will work togeather as player 1 and player 2 in above mentioned games?
Thanks for the replys in advance!

If there are correct drivers for the Operating system for both controllers it should be possible, I'd use our friend the search engine for that question too it is called

I have been asking my friend, Google for days now, and all I could find is that xbox 360 reciever can connect up to 4 xbox 360 controllers and the xbox one adapter can handle up to 8 controllers. Nothing specific about my question though. I'm the kind of guy who search first and ask later, but I could not find answears. The xbox one controller isn't cheap, so I would like to know that if we could use it with the old one in the family for coop. Are there anyone who uses these two controllers the same way I want to?

They will work together because they are both Xinput devices. You are worrying for nothing.

Well I ended up buying an Xbox One controller with the wireless adapter bundled togeather and I can confirm, that it's working as I expected. So now I have an Xbox 360 wireless controller with a receiver and an Xbox One controller with it's own receiver. They both work with coop and single player games, player 1 control is what I turn on first. No need for cables! The one controller is much better imho, but my girlfriend likes the 360, so it's win-win!
