Because games need FP64?I am just happy AMD unlocked the FP64 performance on the VII. Like 3.5 TFLOPs of FP64... on a gaming card. Its a selling point for the card, for sure.
I mean, don't get me wrong, an extra feature is a plus, I just don't get that excited about compute features on video cards. And maybe without all that FP64 hw, the card would have been $500 or less?
