Yup, you read the title correct.
At exactly 9:00 PM EST on Aug. 9, 2008 I am going to post the first of a series of very unique photographs in this thread. Actually, they are very unique photographs of... well... very unique photographs... but that's beside the point. Consider that as your first clue. The only other clue I am going to provide at this point is that the details of these photographs are very much associated to the general basis/theme of TechPowerUp.com. In other words, as random as they may seem at first, there's more to the pictures than just the pictures themselves... and it's appropriate to TPU.
So... are you intrigued yet?
Tomorrow evening (Aug. 9th, 2008 - Eastern Standard Time) I will post the first photograph at precisely 9:00 PM. An additional photograph will be posted every 15 minutes until the entire series is posted (I'm not saying how many there are at this time, you'll just have to find out). If I have not received a correct detailed description of what is significant about the images by 9:00 PM EST on the following evening then I will proceed to provide 4 clues every 15 minutes until 10:00 PM. This will continue each day until someone PMs me with the correct answer.
YOU MUST PM ME YOUR ANSWERS!!! PLEASE DO NOT POST YOUR ANSWERS/GUESSES IN THIS THREAD!!!
I will ignore anything posted in this thread once the competition starts and if you post a correct answer/guess here and someone else steals and PMs me with it they will win and you will be the smart dummy that doesn't win
I know this sounds a bit vague, but trust me... if and when you discover exactly what these photographs are you will understand the very specific uniqueness of them.
The prize is the AeroCool GateWatch II seen in the thumbnails below. I am even paying for the shipping to Continental US. If the winner is non-US or AK/HI then I will ask that you cover the shipping costs minus $5.00 USD. It is an unused fan controller still new in box. I had originally intended to use this in my current system, but ended up changing my mind and it has been sitting in the closet for months now. The fan extension wires are missing (well, not really missing... I used them, but let's not fidget with details... it's FREE if you win), but everything else is there. The USB and Power cables have been sleeved and heatshrinked with Performance-PCS' Carbon Fiber Reflex wire sleeving and black shrink tubing. There will be no other prize in lieu of the GateWatch.
Okay, so I guess that's it for now. I'll see you all tomorrow evening!! There is a good chance that I will be swamped with PMs so expect my responses to be very short if you are wrong. Once the correct answer is provided I will post it in this thread as a screen capture in order to confirm to everyone your answer and time stamp.
