wow, lol, man when did a beta software that does expire running on your system constitute piracy, get real george. Does MS discourage these builds?? NO it encourages the hype of vista, even they said it was great marketing scheme, next the made the beta available to all. The more people contributing bug reports on the latest build of any system design, the better off finished product they produce.

It's not a publicly available build, and is technically not legit(Unless downloaded from MSDN.. i.e. you have an account.). IDC if it's "piracy" or not for this issue.

My point, was that you were pulling those "filenames" used as "accurate sources" in this case, for your argument, and they are 100% false.

Instead of being a google script kiddie downloading files, learn to take certain things like filenames on hacked/leaked/unreliable sources with a grain of salt. They are extremely often not accurate, and the webpages have specific tags attached to catch the eye of people looking for "the real thing".

It's an awesome way to spread trojans and malware too. ;) People are gullible. The pirates added RTM to all of those pages.. None of which are the "actual" RTM (Which can easily be figured out by looking at the URL the downloads point to.)

+1

Kinda rediculous overall, I get the points, and if someone wants to risk getting something that might not be considered legitimate, then go for it, or wait till MS ACTUALLY RELEASES IT. At this point I'm done with 7 till it's on the shelves, or even a tad later. I'm happy with Vista x64 SP2, and see no major need to upgrade or worry about it right away...not saying I won't upgrade at all, but I'm no longer in any rush after playing with 7 RC x64. Damn good OS, will do great I think, not worth bickering over the little things guys, enjoy what is out now, and into the future when it's on the shelves and installed on your PC's.

Look at the link I threw out there of Wikipedia.. no Matter what is going on, That's the way Software of any kind goes.. Win7 doesn't have RTM status yet.. 13th, is the word on the street, but til then, no sir re bob does it have RTM.. Dippys is right. If you go and google and find the RTM, it's most likely a person have remapped it to show RTM so people will download, and use what they have given.. Could also throw in the fact of having virus or two in there to say.. haha, I got ya now!

NO, Microsoft official release's has thrown in RTM for RC's..

Win7 Build 7264.

Is this the official RTM copy?

Looking to reinstall Win7 immediately..

+1 with rest, though the first post is 7264 which is not official ms release, which again make my claims 100% accurate. How you got to throw in official MS names only i don't know. Script kiddie, lol
