Hey bud,

no, it is a candidate though.

Final is due out July 13th.

It doesn't accept RC keys also.

I believe it goes gold on the 13th of this month, so that would make it the actual RTM.

Those are called RC not RTM.

It helps to read the actual filenames, instead of pull things out of your ass.

I'm running 7100 at the moment, I kinda wish they would just release updates instead of me having to get a new build for the new stuff, though uprading is just like installing an application it's so easy now.

All the filenames have rtm, where do ya get RC?? So anyone of these will be 6.1.7271.0.win7_rtm.090709-1520.iso. Please check your own ass before telling me what I'm pulling out of mine. Technically though there all RC's tell it goes gold and becomes RTM like I originally said. I don't know why ms put RTM in the naming convention, except to f$ck with pirates.

That what I've read too, guess in a week or two we'll know if we have to buy it or not. Will MS finally get it right, or will no one get the pleasure of holding up the pirated dvd in front of the win7 countdown timer on Microsoft Blvd.

How do you confuse a filename with a description? This is where the '-' comes to play at. Someday you'll learn :p

7100.0.090421-1700_x86fre_client_en-us_retail_ultimate-grc1culfrer_en_dvd.iso
7100.0.090421-1700_x64fre_client_en-us_retail_ultimate-grc1culxfrer_en_dvd.iso

Is the actual filename of the Windows 7 RC, since you obviously don't have a clue. This filename was taken straight from the downloaded file from Microsoft.

Resume assuming more false information, please.

All right... All Right... here is the Software Release Life Cycle for anyone that needs it...

RTM Candidate is really a RC.. It's not the full RTM.. No manufacture that I know of, and from e-mails state, have the real deal.. So, RTM Candidate is Microsoft's stupid way of saying RC?? Or, person's way of throwing in their own hacks/virus's

aggh 6.1.7268.0.win7_rtm.090701-1900 - RTM Candidate - Server R2 version on the web

version are in vmhd not iso hence the otherfile name convention:( blahen-us_retail_ultimate-grc1culxfrer_en_dvd.vmhd makes no sense now does it.

Second two Last build released: Microsoft.Windows.7.Build.7260.RTM.X86.ENRU-TaG
Microsoft Windows 7 x64 Build 7264-TaG
RTM again is in the file name, point every release tell 7264 was labeled rtm, which is just not meant to be taken literally in this case only. Don't know why its so difficult for you to accept. But I'm ignoring this thread from now on.

I don't know how to make this any easier for you.

Googling that TaG filename you provided brings me up with a vast number of "leaked" builds.

Of which is *NAMED*

7264.0.090622-1900_x64fre_cliente_en-us_Retail_UltimateE-GRMCEULXFRER_EN_DVD.iso

Stop using pirated copies and/or webpages as sources. They are not accurate.

wow, lol, man when did a beta software that does expire running on your system constitute piracy, get real george. Does MS discourage these builds?? NO it encourages the hype of vista, even they said it was great marketing scheme, next the made the beta available to all. The more people contributing bug reports on the latest build of any system design, the better off finished product they produce. Oh and just to let you know any vista or later product from Microsoft you can download and run for 30 days. Otherwise you wouldn't be able to pass the activation key (thats what you pay for, and to circumvent that would be piracy). Just so you have a clear understanding. Microsoft even give you a rearm command, which I think you can use up to 3 times, allowing you the full os for 150 days. So feel free to grab the latest builds people and help MS develop a product we want. Thx for your support.
