Hello.
Eh getting weird problem with Windows 10 Pro.

So few days ago when i ran memtest few hours without error, but after finished test i reboot pc and Automatiic repair started before windows. Is this something with memory ? Memory trigger that error? Or it is software issue?

When starting Windows 10 boot loader starts by "preparing automatic repair" and diagnosing pc.
Interesting is that if I restart Windows (after procedure mentioned earlier) it will boot normally. This startup problem occurs only when starting system again after shutdown.

My disk is Samsung Evo 250 GB SSD. I run HD TUNE but no errors and CrystalDiskInfo Smart is fine 100% GOOD. Rams are 2x8gb DDR3 Kingston Hyperx 1600mhhz.

Memtest86 not showing errors.

Somebody said to me:"had similar issues, replaced RAM and I have been error free since."

So its a memory related or not? What you think about it ? Thx for answer.

You should go fill out your system specs in your profile so we know what your complete system build is. Tough to put an entire puzzle together with 2 pieces.

I would also ask that you check System Even Logs to see if any issues are being reported. Have you updated your BIOS/EFI? Are you running an XMP profile, Auto or Manual voltage/timings? Did you load the optimized defaults of your BIOS/EFI?

This could be a memory issue, but seeing that its passing Memtest and still getting into Windows (is Windows crashing while using it ever?), I feel is might be a configuration issue...

Do you have advanced power savings features enabled? Fast boot? Secure boot?

I've also seen this issue when CPU settings weren't stable...so if you're running overclocked, you might try to run at stock, or again, fill out your system specs and mention if you're running overclocked or not. Where it will run generally okay except on cold boot...its an odd issue...but I don't necessarily feel it's RAM. Have you tried cold booting with a single stick? Do you have other memory to try to verify if its a memory issue or not?

The more you can provide, the better. :)

Here is my full pc spec:
4790K stock, aftermarket cooler , good temps
16gb DDR3 Kingston Hyperx 1600mhz
Asus Sabertooth Z97 Mark 2
Corsair 750 RM
SSD SAMSUNG EVO 250 GB
Asus Strix 980 Ti Oc

Absolutely no crashing in games.

I decide to try memtest86 and check my new memory to be sure is all fine. After 5 hours without errors i decide to stop test. Then i choose in bios SDD boot and try to run Windows. And then Automatic repair was showned.
And then everytime when starting Windows 10 boot loader starts by "preparing automatic repair" and diagnosing pc.
Interesting is that if I restart Windows (after procedure mentioned earlier) it will boot normally. This startup problem occurs only when starting system again after shutdown.

So maybe after memtests that was only coincidence?

Anyway i create topic because i am little worried because somebody said to me :"had similar issues, replaced RAM and I have been error free since."

So its a memory related ,hardware ,software? What you think about it ? Thx for answer.

it will display the automatic repair anytime the boot process is interrupted or if the system fails to wake from standby
you stopped the test before it was completed thus it displayed the message
sounds like its bugged
hold shift while clicking restart and select trouble shoot
and allow the automatic repair to do its thing
that should clear the flag and stop the messages

So i formatted disk , install again Windows 10 , now Windows booting fine without automatic repair. But i tried to reproduce issue by running memtest86 again. So i run test for 5 hours, stop test and booted Windows 10. This time it booted fine without automatic repair. So i guess its fine. But i want to know why it happened earlier? That was still hardware issue? Thx for opinion. Somebody said that can be caused by bad ram.

You probably halted the windows boot when you booted to the memtest somehow. Not a big issue

Yes but i want to be sure why it happened before :) I dont know if it was ram issue still or hardware or just software? I cant reproduce issue after format, i just run boot of memtest86 few times, quit test and boot windows, still fine without automatic repair. Any clues:)?

You booted and meant to hit F12 missed it and hit reset somehow. Then booted to Memtest and ran it. Went to reboot and guess what? Has nothing to do with your memory

No i dont hit F12 i just properly restart system after memtest86 session, then go to bios ,choose boot from USB to SSD and windows shows automatic repair everytime from this time at 1 boot.

Somebody said:" "The problem sounds definitely like a software issue, in that evidently some critical Windows systems files had a problem, but.....
That issue is generally produced by problematic hardware so the two might go hand in hand.""

So i am worry that can be hardware even if it happened before format.

W 10 is a pain in the arse with this repair guff. Give me an old fashioned BSOD any time.

It isnt indicative of any hardware failure. I doubt if there is anything wrong with your pc.

Just forget about it.

Somebody said to me:" After installing ram and setting XMP I ended up with Windows Repair"

But i dont change anything in BIOS with XMP, and after format is fine. But i want to know why it happened before format. That was caused by ram, maybe i have faulty ? What is your opinion?
