Not even. This is a very minor issue that will be resolved. W8.1 is obsolete and superseded. W10 is more secure and ready to support future hardware.

Thats it, im going back to 8.1 :/ enough is enough. it wont let me uninstall the windows updates so that i can fix the issue manually.

No it is not. It is the definition of a corrupt system - which most often is not the fault of the OS itself (or else it would affect almost everyone), but some outside influence, like malware, corrupt drivers, or users dinking with settings they shouldn't be touching.
So does Microsoft software. Except Apple systems and software is very restricted in they way it allows users to customize it - or as you said, it is dumb.

so you are yourself saying that a fully updated windows 10 installation is corrupt for no reason see, it is crap. i got windows 10 on my work PC as well, and it has tons of compatibility issues. Hell, even Microsofts Office 360 / 2016 doesnt work properly.

Try latency mon. See what driver causes interrupts most.

Windows 8.1 will only get mainstream support for another six months (January 9, 2018) and will not get any updates after January 10, 2023.


My guess is you have some other software running from Windows 8.1 which is continuing to run in Windows 10 that is having unintended consequences. This problem you're describing is not something that's a known issue with Windows 10.

For no reason? I never said that! Don't twist my words around in an attempt to justify your own flawed reasoning. Not cool.

Compatibility is a two-way street. The OS and the hardware must comply with industry standards. If Windows 10 did not, 100s of millions of Windows 10 computers would not be working.

The onus is really on the hardware makers to ensure their drivers comply to the latest standards that W10 does indeed support. The problem is there is real incentive for hardware makers of "legacy" hardware to invest resources developing new drivers for their old hardware. They get $0.00 returns on those investments. They would much rather users go out and buy their latest hardware this is W10 ready.

i have a clean install of windows 10.

it started after windows updated to something.

then first my mouse stopped working and got detected as a keyboard. I had to reinstall the drivers to make it work again. Since then this is happening.

Let me try uninstalling the updates.

I still haven't installed Creator's Update from Windows Update and it still hasn't given it to me as an option.

It's soo much smoother on a SSD because u won't feel how much Windows 10 can do in writing in the background together with other applications.

I like the Samsung 850 EVO for the budget minded. While 128GB will do, I recommend 250GB and certainly nothing smaller than 120-128GB. This will ensure enough for all your apps and a lot of personal files too.

Windows itself performs best when there is lots of free disk space (regardless if HD or SSD) to play around in. At least 30GB free is generally suggested. Plus, because of the way "Wear Leveling" works to extend the life of SSDs, the larger the drive, the longer its life expectancy (in theory, anyway).

I just looked through my updates and I can't find any with a 358 in it. Most of the updates are now in Cumulative Update packages. I'm guessing something installed on your system is triggering that specific update to install. Without having the full number, can't really research it further.

This why I disabled the Windows 10 update I had problems with the Intel I219-V ethernet on my Asus Z170i Pro Gaming board after the 3-5 updates after the Anniversary Update all my internet speed was almost gone but before it worked fine, now I am running Creators Update and I upgraded directly from Windows 10 Anniversary no problems at all but I still got the Windows Update disabled together with Microsoft's annoying Telemetry because I don't want Microsoft to get all my information...

The update u can disable in services, for other things I use Spybot Anti-Beacon found it to not be infected or have all the shitty stuff a lot of the other have and it's still free.

Which means the Logitech driver is the root of your problem. No surprises there really. I have a Logitech webcam that defaults to 32 KHz. Recordings sound like the chipmonks. I have to change it to 24 kHz manually.

To be honest, Microsoft's drivers are usually better than manufacturer drivers in everything except VGA. I use Microsoft's to power my Klipsch speakers instead of Realtek's because Microsoft's gives me access to stereo surround where MSI deliberately disabled stereo surround in Realtek's.

check out Tinywall, once set up, it will block everything, even windows update, without going into services and GPedit.
