Insiders in the fast and slow rings are now being distributed the latest Windows 10 RTM (build 10240).

http://blogs.windows.com/bloggingwi...-for-windows-insiders-in-fast-and-slow-rings/

But for those wanting to expedite the upgrade, and/or download the latest build in iso form, it can be downloaded for free from the following link.

http://getintopc.com/softwares/oper...-pro-build-10240-iso-32-64-bit-free-download/

Don't forget to check out the activation steps found here:

slmgr /ipk W269N-WFGWX-YVC9B-4J6C9-T83GX
slmgr /skms kms.xspace.in
slmgr /ato

Windows 10 Enterprise - NPPR9-FWDCX-D2C8J-H872K-2YT43B8YKP-D69TJ
Windows 10 Home - TX9XD-98N7V-6WMQ6-BX7FG-H8Q99
Windows 10 Professional - W269N-WFGWX-YVC9B-4J6C9-T83GX

use the key you need for the build and run those lines in cmd to activate

activation

I suggest running those commands as administrator. Just in case.

Enjoy!

Are drivers mature enough for general use? I'm thinking of switching to Windows 10 RTM. Using Core i7 920 on X58 platform and GTX 980.

I'm mainly concerned over Chipset (ICH10R), SATA and graphic card drivers. The rest should be fine imo. Are drivers for these three fine or are there major problems?

How long will that activation hack last? I plan on buying a retail copy (or using my free one from another computer if possible) but don't want it expiring in the meantime.

Well might not take long as the Russians, they will properly make a KMS u just install so it can activate asking a internal server if the product key is valid or not

I'm watching this thread. I understand that until Windows 10 is launched, talk about hacks that run "pre-release," isn't wrong, but avoid talking about how to keep RTM free forever. Remember that Windows 10 is a free upgrade only to paying customers of Windows 7/8, and that too only through GWX. It's not freeware.

I don't understand why you would run that in cmd when Windows will activate just fine on the 29th. Or that's at least my understanding of it.

To activate until then via a Russian server with an invalid serial.

Not sure how I feel about this, tbh. Legally it's pretty much a non-issue for me as I intend to buy... but I'm with btranur, this is iffy for a forum to allow such talk.

Just upgraded to new build. Looks great, doesn't glitch in few places where previous builds struggled.

Anyone has some info on my question above regarding drivers? The intel SATA RST is a must, because Windows SATA is rubbish and I also have bunch of hot-swap options where you unmount USB drives with Win SATA and that sucks. At least on Win8.1, I don't think they've changed it much in Win10...

i dont see any intel RST drivers newer than 2014, you sure they're better than what comes with W10?

Anything is better than shitty generic SATA driver that comes with Windows...
