I just received an ASUS motherboard with an AMD Phenom II X4 processor, and 2x4 GB DDR3, and I have tried windows 10 pro 64-bit, but sadly I cannot activate it, and it will expire soon. (And I am also very dissatisfied with it, just like with Windows 7 or 8). And I read that there is a version of the XP called x64 which recognizes more than 4 GB of RAM, so I obtained it and after I installed it, I was happy to see that it recognizes all the RAM and the 4 cores of the CPU, have a look here:
But now the issues are these: I'm having a problem with the video driver. I have downloaded Catalyst 14-4-xp32-64-dd-ccc-pack2 - which is said to be intended for 64-bit as well, and I have installed it, but Device Manager shows me something weird, it says the device cannot start. Look:
What does it mean it cannot start? I have a VTX Radeon HD 7750 and it worked great before, on XP 32-bit and on win10 pro 64-bit too! Why does it say it cannot start even after I installed the Catalyst? And now I have downloaded and installed Catalyst 13-9_xp64_dd_ccc_whql - which I believe is the appropriate driver for x64 version of Windows XP, I installed it in both Program Files and in Program Files (x86), but after the install, the display driver's status was "Fail". OK, I restarted the PC and tried to install it manually from Device Manager, and it showed clearly that it copied the files in C:\Windows... something, but after it did that, look what it showed me:
Please help me!
