whats in the hotfix folders?

also see if you can install the driver directly from the [Driver] folder.
I don't know, I already deleted the folder. Tell you what, I'm going to sleep, it's 5:30 in the morning here, but I'll be back tomorrow and we'll solve this thing eventually. Thank you very much for all your help, natr0n, at least the video driver is working now! I owe you, man!

I'll be back after about 14 hours and we'll resume this.

Try these step in order today.

1. Download the zip run it look for the via driver and double click uninstall then it will scan for leftover files click okay and then finish
https://geekuninstaller.com/download

2.reboot system

3.download the sound driver like yesterday
https://www.asus.com/Motherboards/M4A88TMUSB3/HelpDesk_Download/
unpack all files 1st open the [hotfix] folder click asus setup within that folder if it installs without error go to step 4. (If it errors go into the Microsoft_Hotfix folder/Winxp2k3x64/Enu click Winxp_2k3-kb901105-x64-enu let it install)

4.reboot system

5. go to the [Driver] folder run setup and install

6.reboot system

7. Profit hopefully

XP is a dead OS and incredibly insecure. More to your point, unfortunately when MS drops support most everyone else follows suite. there are no drivers for your system.

Besides, Phenom 2, Id run win 7-10 on it all day. XP 64bit never really took off either

Guys, thank you very, very much for all the help you gave me, but I tried so hard and without success these past days to find appropriate drivers for this XP x64 that it consumed my nerves too badly, so I decided to return to the normal 32-bit version of the XP. Now I am using it, and although it recognizes only 3.25 GB out of my 8 GB RAM, at least it runs perfectly and recognizes perfectly absolutely any drivers and any programs:

Besides, in order to profit to the max of the memory I have, I have set the Paging File to maximum, so I hope this will improve the speed of the processes and application:

I have now learned from my own experience that all the people who said that the x64 edition of the XP is one to stay away from due to the driver compatibility issues were 100% correct.

Thank you very much everyone for your help!

Don't you need SP3 for XP to get UAA/high def. audio to work?
