I shit in my pants when I see WTE100 (especially in platoons), I have no problems facing JPE100. That applies to any tank I use, be it E100, Cent 7/1, or WZ-132.

it take some time till you get used to it but it is mean machine.
look for some guides about crew skills and moduls.
transfer your crew from pz4 or it will be pain in the arse till you get 6th sense. pen is a bit low so you have to know where to aim but if you played it that far with germans you already should know that.

ya its hit was nice and back then but it was way harder to make influence if enemy is at least half decent.
small range was good only to support mele battle in mid map. cant counter arty despite you know their location, cant hit support tds bushing in 2nd line.
you had to have quite a luck to have enemies fullish enough leave arty cover in mid map.
it was quite unplasent surpice to jump from wespe with 800-900m range to higher tire grille with 400-500m range. hugh!?!
short range was the only reason i wanted to jump on hummel asap. other then that it was very nice arty. with top engine and traks it was very nice arty useful in td mod as well :laugh:

I just got back in the game after 1+ year off. Gawd I'm awful.

Anyone has thoughts on the french TD line? I started it but I am wondering if I should wait until I get back some of my mojo before pursuing it...

Meanwhile I am also grinding the german TD line. Currently in fully upgraded Hetzer and having a blast regardless of my current mediocrity.

I've not "tanked" in a longer time than that, but I have to say, that's the whole point of any game, imo: " having a blast regardless of my current mediocrity". I play (too) many games, and when I realize, like I did in WoW, that I'm playing not to continue, or increase, my enjoyment of the game, but instead to meet someone else's expectations of my playing, I usually decide to find another game.

I found once you get to tier 8 on the French TD line things get a bit easier, personally for me it was a real grind getting through tier's 6 and 7 but in my opinion it's all worth it when you get to tier 10.

I think I remember unlocking the T8 T-44 and hating the KV1 and it's variants so much that I went the opposite way lol

I have quite enjoyed the US light/medium line all the way up to the T57 heavy which I have just started playing with, dunno if it's my play style but I much prefer the T57 to the AMX 50B.

french TD line got low dmg, would rather do russian TD line with the big gun, french autoloader heavies are fun, if you like something more reliable in terms of armor and having more near death moments KV line is pretty good
