Hey everyone. Once again (two days in a row) i have a new problem.

I myself reformat my computer every four months or more. And play WOW sucks when you happen to reformat your computer. Is there a way to download all the updates and save them on to anouther harddrive so i don't have to spend two days downloading them all over and over again?? or is there a update disk i can buy or somthing?

a majority of the wow update are in your world of warcraft folder (program files\world of warcraft\WoW-3.0.1-to-3.0.2-Update for example)

You'd need to burn to a dvd, some of them are quite large.

no just put them in the folder. let the updater open them and install them

see if you can download some of the larger, newer ones (2.2, 2.4, etc) while the installer gets the other ones. might save a bit of time

I believe techpowerup actually has some updates you can download.

You can get the patches from http://www.wowwiki.com/Patch_mirrors as well. I always download my patches and save them on my external hardrive since I format often as well.

edit: sold my wow account anyway so I don't need em anymore :D

Download the standalones, then just run them in order and ti will update you to current. then make sure you save the installers.

The other option is before you format copy your entire world of warcraft folder to another HDD, then copy it back run the repair (rebuilds the registry keys) and away you go!.... or be like me and just run it over the network :)
