Wrote email to EA and got 15% discount :P

Hi all,
today while i was uploading a video of NFS to my channel,i got a message that it gotmatched by third party content.
So i wrote a email,asking them permission to give me right to post that video,without any such claim
instead of answering that query,they gave me 15% discount saying i am a valuable customer.

is there any other way i can ask them for right of video?

Just another example of how craptastic and outdated YouTube's copyright filters are.

I once uploaded a vid with some background music that was on my page for over a year. Out of the blue I suddenly got an email saying my YT account was suspended due to copyright infringement. Now I can see some songs/bands being acquired under other record labels, happens all the time, but it was up over a year and I got no warning. They made me go through a stupid little cartoon tutorial with multiple choice questions on copyright laws to get account access back.

I sped through the test blindly picking choices, and though I probably scored pretty bad, they gave me back access anyway. I mean what's the point of this BS? Mind you before this all happened I was one who was diligently checking the Warner Music Group list of artists and even sample testing 1 min vid segments with songs before uploading.

Bottom line, YouTube's filter is often times embarrassing even to those they attempt to protect with it, and EA's discount was a gesture conveying that.

game vids are like, fair use anyways.... it doesn't hurt them at all if you post gameplay vids. it promotes thier product.
