Good luck Rainman21. If you google for the battery, you can probably get a generic one for a good deal. That's what I did with my D820.

Don't know if you use ebay much, but here is a link with a whole bunch of the batteries you want.

http://shop.ebay.com/?_from=R40&_trksid=m38.l1313&_nkw=312-0349&_sacat=See-All-Categories

If you want to check the part # for youself, got to Dell's website specifically for note book batteries and click the home & home office link and find the 9300.
Thanks. I will have to check it out if I can't find one here first.

Money order is really my only option but just to be checking how much for the battery? :D

I hate this machine. Because of it, I will never buy a Dell again. I'm giving Sony a try.

well, there are lower and higher end D820s.
The ones we buy are pretty decked out with a DVD writer, 1920x1200 screen, T7500 CPUs, and mobile workstation graphic cards, i love those computers, although they arent anything to look at.
weve been using quad core in our desktops for a while, and we still favor the Q6600s in iraq, but we are still dual at home, this is primarily because of the massive funding we get over there.

EDIT: give panasonic a try, they are pretty hardcore laptops, all about serious performance, IBM thinkpads are also very good choices.

I've got everything maxed but the CPU and RAM. 2GB RAM, T7200 Processor, 1920x1200, DVD Burner, NVS Quadro 120M, etc. I hate it though. I think I'm going the DSLR + Netbook route though, since I need something easier to carry to and from classes.

Oh, and so I'm not blamed for thread stealing, BUMP.
