You can get inexpensive speakers from Logitech very reasonably, and they are decent.

I have a set of 2 month old Logitech Z-5500's in perfect condition which are currently pissing off my neighbors. They're worth nearly $300 though and would cost a lot to ship, don't know if you're interested but let me know.

Allen, do u need a soundcard too? I thought my motherboard one is broken and bought a Diamond 7.1 Ch sound card. But it was drivers and I fixed it. So this card is brand new used for a day may be few hours and never got to return it back. If you want let me know. Its still in the box with CD and manual. It has Coaxial digital input and output.

My Logitech X230 2.1 is excellent, and was cheap also! I have never heard a small speaker setup like this put out so much sound. I've had mine for over a year and they're still cranking amazing sound.

if your going 5.1 and want some real speakers the Z-5500's from logitech cant be beat if you have the $

the x530 are ok my main complaint with them is the the hardwired right front speaker that has the controls on it, it ain't easy to reach if you decide to mount the speakers and it has a nasty habit of being so heavy it pulls the speaker plus you run you may run into the problem of it being too short when trying to position the speakers where you want them.

i have owned both the x530 are pretty nice for the price but in the long run you will be happy you spent the extra money and got a full featured system like the Z-5500's
